"You really thought I could like someone like you," he asked me with a sadistic smile spread on his face. I could feel my breath shortening.
"Out of all the girls here, why would I pick you?" He starts to laugh. He moves in closer.
"My sweet little Sparrow. I can't believe you would ever think that," Chester whispers in my ear.
"Spencer! Spencer, wake up!"
I felt a shaking on my shoulders. I pop up out of my sleep and try to breathe.
It feels like someone has their hands wrapped around my throat, stopping my air flow.
"Breathe, Spencer! Breathe," Sky tells me, rubbing her hand on my back. I try calming myself down.
"What's wrong, Spencer?"
"I'm good, Sky."
"You know you talk in your sleep, right? Don't lie to me, Spencer. What's wrong? Who told you these things that you're saying in your dreams," Sky asks. She looked really worried.
"I said I'm fine, Sky," I tell her, holding back my tears.
"Spenc..."
"Stop it, Sky! Just leave it alone," I interrupt her. I get up from the tent's floor and grab my bag to go to the bathroom.
Sky doesn't say anything when I leave the tent. I guess she finally took the hint.
I take a longer shower than necessary, feeling too drained to get out. I finish doing everything I usually do and put my hair back in a ponytail. I put on my lacy, black cropped top, jean shorts, a red flannel over it, and red vans.
Just because I was feeling shitty, didn't mean I had to look it too.
When I left the bathroom, I saw Alexandra leaning against a tree, smoking something that I believe was marijuana.
Well..... I did need a pick me up. I'm tired of feeling tired.
I walk over to Alexandra and took it out of her hand, bringing it up to my mouth. I almost choked to death the first time, but I'll be fine.
"Woah, woah, woah! That shits called rainbow for a reason, little Spence," Alexandra says, taking the blunt from me and putting it to her mouth.
"Fan-fucking-tastic! I need some rainbows right now," I take it back from her. Alexandra didn't ask me anything. We just stood there, passing it between each other.
Everyone was getting up and getting ready. We are supposed to be leaving today after everyone's done packing. Today was Monday, but there wasn't school today because it was a teachers planning day.
After the herbs took over my mind, including Alexandra's mind, I felt waaaayyyyy better. We were joking around and just laughing at dumb stuff. I see now why Alexandra does this all the time.
In no time, Parker announced to everyone that we were heading home. Alexandra told me she was riding with Daniel, but she wanted to continue our conversation, so I agreed to ride back home with them.
While I was walking with Alex to the car, I could see Hope and Chester going into Parker's car to ride with him and Jamie. Jamie called out my name from the passenger's seat and told me to come over.
"Hey, I thought you were riding back with us," she asks me with confusion. Everyone else in the car was quite.
"Nah, I'm riding back with Alexandra and Daniel."
"Are you good, Spencer? Your eyes are red. Have you been crying," I hear Hope ask from the backseat. I could hear the smirk on her face. I stick my head through Jamie's window to get a better view of Chester and Hope in the back seats. I laugh.
"No, Hope. It's the special lettuce," I tell her, then I turn towards Chester. "Darling, your skin looks a little red and irritated. Did you have a good night's rest," I ask him, smirking, but he doesn't say anything, which makes me laugh more.
"Are you high," Parker asks me.
"Duh, Parker. I just clarified that for you. Catch up with the rest of us." Before anyone else could ask me more questions, I skip on over to Daniels car, a black Jeep. He and Alex were already waiting for me.
We hit the road and just listened to some music, which was actually a better selection compared to Parker's track.
I guess Daniel wasn't so bad.
When we started to get closer, I could tell Daniel was driving towards my house to take me home. I didn't want to be home alone right now.
"Hey guys, you have any plans for the rest of the day," I asked. I didn't want to be clingy, but I also didn't want to be thinking my brain off at home.
"We're probably just gonna hang over at my house. You could always join," Daniel says, still driving with no emotion on his face.
"That would be cool, if you don't mind me joining," I hope, desperately. Daniel just nods his head yes.
We still head in the same direction, but passed my house. After a while of driving, we stop in front of this big two story house.
All the lights were off inside and there were no other cars parked outside the house. Daniel parks and we get out.
Vanessa pulls out a key and unlocks the door for us. I'm guessing because they're together, she has a key to his house.
The inside of the house was different from the outside. It was like the inside of a goth boy's mind. There was so much darkness, but it was also unique. I've never seen anything like this before.
"Welcome to my house," Daniel says, taking a bow.
"Is that you Danny boy," I heard a girls voice scream out from the second floor of the house.
"Yes, Naph. It's me." I see Daniel roll his eyes as he speaks, but not in an annoyed sense. A second later, a girl comes running down the stairs and jumps into his arms.
"You left me in this house all alone. You know this house is scary at night when you're here alone. There's too much black," she said, snuggling her face deeper into his chest.
"We have visitors, Naph. How about you say hi," he says pulling away from her. She looks up at me and Alexandra in shock and blushes.
"Hi Alex and unknown visitor," she says, putting her head down, her hair covering her face, and blushing more.
"Spencer, this is my roommate, Naph. Naph, this is Spencer," Daniel introduces us.
Naph has long, wavy, chocolate brown hair and dark brown eyes. She seemed really shy and was probably like 5'4, compared to like Alex's 5'7 figure.
"Don't be shy, Naph. You know me. Plus, Spencer is nice," Alexandra assures her. Naph just nods her head.
Suddenly, Daniel gets a call. He picks up the call and you could hear the person on the other end panicking.
"Alright, I'm on my way," he says, hanging up.
"What's wrong," Alex asks him.
"I'll be right back. You guys can just hang out." Daniel grabs his keys back from the table and leaves quickly.
"Well.... what do we do now," Naph asks.
