"Ughhhh, too much light." I lifted my head off the ground, but ended up bumping my head on something and groaning in pain.
I felt movement on my left and turned to see who it was.
Alexandra looks like a hot mess. Her hair is all knotted, makeup is running down her face, and she's handcuffed to my dining table.
"What the hell happened last night," I heard another voice. Hope was laying on the couch with scribbles of squiggly lines all over her face in permanent marker.
I could hear someone throwing up in the bathroom.
"Where's my bra!!!!" Sky was running around the house, in search of her missing bra I guessed.
"I think you should let me tell you guys what you did last night." My brother walked into the living room after Jamie, who I guessed was the one throwing up in the bathroom.
Nick hands Sky a bra that I'm guessing is hers and sat down in a rolling chair in front of all of us.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
LAST NIGHT (FLASHBACK)
"Sky, you did not," Alexandra says in a flabbergasted tone.
"Oh yes I did," Sky says with a big smile on her face.
"Are we in heaven." Hope is busy drooling at her surroundings.
If you didn't guess it yet, I'll tell you.
Sky sneaked us into a show.
Not just any show.
A drag queen show.
The scenery is dark and the interior a mix of purple, black, and gold. Everything is decorated with feathers or diamonds. Couches, tables, and bars circling around a stage that demands attention. The place is styled into a speakeasy, exclusive but crowded with people.
This place is definitely popular.
"How did you even get us in," Jamie asks Sky in bewilderment.
"Because I'm the best, duhh! I have a friend that works backstage that got us in. She also supplied us with fake IDs."
"You just took our girls night out into a another universe."
"Alright. LET'S GET DRUNK," Sky screams out.
We all head over to the bar. You can still see the stage from where we were sitting. At the moment, there was a singer performing.
"Can I help you ladies?"
There's a tall, dark, and handsome man working behind the bar. He has a kind smile on his face.
"Yes. Give us the special of the day," Alexandra says excitedly. The bartender whips up our drinks quickly and slides it down to us. The substance inside is orange and there's an orange peel swerling out of the glass. I take a sip and the content burns my throat with excitement.
"What's your name, handsome," Hope asks. I could see the hearts pumping in her eyes.
"Name's Marcel. How bout you, beautiful," he says, winking at Hope.
"Hope. You look young. Are you even old enough to be tending the bar?"
"My uncle owns the place, so he got me a job here. I'm a senior in high school and I'm guessing you guys are too." He seemed pretty cool.
"We just needed a girls night out. So far, it's starting out great for me, all because of you." I never knew Hope was such a flirt.
She's really putting in the work.
We just kept on drinking and talking to Marcel. We enjoyed the performances. It was really fun. We needed this night out to ourselves.
Sky told us that her friend backstage wanted to meet us. We were pretty drunk, but Sky still managed to guide us.
"Curtains down in Three...Two....One. Alright guys, get ready for the next act."
"If it isn't Vanessa," Sky says.
"You made it!" The girl Vanessa ran over to Sky and gave her a giant hug.
"God, you've grown. How's everything been? Please introduce me to your friends."
"Guys, this is my older cousin, Vanessa. She helps with directing backstage. Vanessa, these are my friends Hope, Spencer, Jamie, and Alexandra."
"It's nice to meet you guys. Are you enjoying the show?"
"Yeah, it's awesome. You guys are doing a great job," Jamie tells her.
"Do you know what would make it better," Alexandra asks with mischief in her eyes.
"Oh no," Hope says.
"Can you get us on stage," Alexandra asks.
"I can find a way, but only if all you guys agree to go on together."
"We should do it you guys. It'll be so awesome!" Sky was already getting excited.
Because we were all pretty drunk, we didn't hesitate to agree to go on stage.
We went into the fitting rooms to get styled up. All the drag queens were inside and were shocked when we came inside.
"Ladies, do me a favor and get these girls ready for the stage. They'll be performing with you in the next act," Vanessa informs them.
"Oh, yes! More puppets to dress up," one of them responded. They shuffled all of us into salon chairs and started doing our makeup.
"What do like? Feathers or glitter," the one that was getting me ready asked.
"Feathers!" While I was getting ready, I could see one of them trying to teach Alexandra the moves.
She looked like a chicken trying to dance.
"No, honey! Let the moves flow through your body! YESSSSSS! There you go!"
We all went through the same thing, but we were ready in no time. We were dressed and ready to impress.
"Hey, what exactly is the next performance," I ask Sky, looking down at the lingerie I was dressed in, paraded by feathers. It didn't expose anything, but it defined my curves.
"Burlesque," she says and I almost have a heart attack, which she ignores. I don't get time to express it because Alexandra speaks.
"Oh my god! Daniel just texted me," Alexandra screams.
"What happened," Hope askes.
"The guys are here! What are they doing here?!"
"Let me see that," Sky says and grabs Alex's phone.
"They followed us through your location." Hope let's out a groan.
"How did they even get in," I ask.
"They have fake IDs," Sky tells me.
"Well, then we'll just have to put on a show," Jamie says, wiggling her brows.
"Oooo, your evil, girl," one of the drags say, popping their head in.
"It's time, everyone! Lets get on the stage," Vanessa shouts out, putting everyone in their spots.
Surprisingly, my fear evaporates at the thought of Chester seeing me on stage. I didn't feel one bit nervous as the curtains started to rise.
As the routine started, I spotted the boys right away, but the one I kept my eyes on is Chester.
They looked shocked to see us on stage. Chester's eyes were wondering all over the stage, but once he spotted me, his eyes were frozen in place. I gave him a wink and focused on the routine.
It was awesome. The crowd went wild and we had a good time. When it was over and the curtains went down, me and the girls ran out the back door, so the boys wouldn't see us.
"Oh my god! Did you see Parker's face?! I think he peed himself," Jamie says, laughing insanely.
"I think Daniel actually blushed," Alexandra says.
We were walking the streets and just laughing about the position the boys were left in.
"Guys, lets stop inside here," Jamie says, pointing at a costume shop. We all agreed and went inside.
"Hello. Welcome to The Costume Shop," a guy greeted us with a bored tone.
We started going through the store, trying things on. The guy looked tired and ready to close.
A whole half an hour passed before the guy talked to us again.
"Girls, it's closing time. You have to go."
"What if we don't want to," Sky challenges him.
"I'll call the cops."
We didn't listen to him. We just continue doing our own thing and making a mess in the store.
Then, a cop showed up.
"Ladies, you have to leave." He tried to get us to leave, but we weren't budging.
"I'll be forced to arrest you," he keeps going on with his threats.
"Oh, please. You wouldn't even be able to catch us," Alexandra tells him.
"Are you showing me attitude, missy," Mr. Cop asked her.
"I think I am."
The cop starts chasing us around the the store. He manages to get one cuff on Alexandra before we leave the store.
We started running down the streets of Philadelphia, singing songs as loud as we can.
I don't know how my brother found us running on the streets, but he did.
He dragged us all into his car and took us to our house.
"Your so sexy, Nick! Can we please be together," Sky kept screaming into Nick's ear. She even managed to get her bra off and threw it at him. "Please!"
"Someone help me, I'm stuck!" Alexandra connected the other side of her cuffs to the leg of the dining table.
"I think we're going to have to cut off your arm," Hope told her, while playing with a sharpie marker, drawing on her own face.
"WHAT?!"
At this point, Alexandra started crying. We were all hysterical.
After a while, we all passed out.
