Chapter: Cafe Stories

"But Eun Soo...are you really alright?" Yoona asked Eun Soo sitting in Eun Soo' car out of nowhere.

"Hmm, why?" She asked as Eun Soo drove the car towards the parking lot.

"No just...after that incident that night you never talked about it...I wondered if you're alright." She said.

"Incident? Which incident?" Eun Soo was quite confused.

"Ah! Why this cafe situated in such a narrow road that even a car can't enter." She said further as she looked at the narrow road.

"You don't remember?" Yoona asked.

"No." Eun Soo replied and looked at her.

They parked the car and Eun Soo sighed in frustration, cause they had to walk almost thirteen minutes more to reach the cafe.

"Why you have to go to this cafe?" Eun asked being frustrated.

But Yoona was still on an earlier page of the story and so she said,

"But Wh-" She was about to continue when her eyes got hooked on someone.

"Wait! Hyun Soo?!" She exclaimed being shocked.

"Hey! Why do you have to ruin my morning-"

"No tha-that is Hyun Soo, right?" She said as she pointed at her who was also walking towards the cafe with Do Yun

"Where?"

"Look there going inside the cafe..." She pointed again and Eun Soo slid her sunglasses down on her nose bridge as she looked at her.

"Ah! Really?!" She was frustrated.

"Why do I have to face her today?" She said as she stopped in between.

"And that too, she is with a guy," Yoona added further.

"Whatever?" Eun Soo flipped her hair back.

"I'll go anyways." And she walked faster.

"You both are late.

"Ah! You shook me!" Hyun Soo exclaimed as someone suddenly said sitting in the dark cafe.

"You weren't working properly when I was away?" Sang Hyeon stood up and kept her hands on her waist.

"Ah! Ma'a- I mean aunt. You're too early here today." Hyun Soo said and laughed awkwardly.

"I'll go and fresh myself up." Do Yun tried his best to escape but Sang Hyeon's eyes are everywhere.

"Wait!" She said as she glared at escaping Do Yun.

Do Yun who was on his way to his room looked at Sang Hyeon from the corner of his eyes.

"Where were you? And why aren't you ready yet and why haven't you opened the cafe yet?" She asked in a monotonous voice.

"Ah! That, aunt. I stayed at-"

"Aunt! He stayed...up late at night and woke up late today." Hyun Soo interrupted in between.

She was quite uncomfortable about Do Yun telling her that he stayed at his home at night as she didn't know what Sang Hyeon may think of her.

"And how do you both enter together?" She asked again.

"Umm...we met on my way to here He came out for a walk." She laughed awkwardly and Do Yun stared at her as he turned towards her.

"I'll go." He declared and went towards his room.

After a minute, he came out of his room and went out without uttering a word. Hyun Soo found Sang Hyeon still staring at her and so she smiled awkwardly and said,

"So shall we start...?"

Sang Hyeon nodded and Hyun Soo quickly turned the heaters and lights of the cafe.

Seeing her working in a hurry Sang Hyeon chuckled within herself lightly. She sat back where she was sitting earlier and said while looking at her phone screen,

"Ah! Let's see what happens next. I'm quite excited."

After ten minutes when Hyun Soo was done and was ready to welcome customers when Do Yun arrived wearing his as usual clothes, it was like he had only some pairs of shirts and pants.

Hyun Soo looked at him and gave him a bright smile while Do Yun smiled roughly a bit and again went towards his room. Here Sang Hyeon who was scrolling through her phone, rolled her eyes as she could see their cheesy acts so crystal clear. And to break this cosy romantic moment she said loudly,

"By the way, I've appointed a new part-timer, she'll work from today and can reach here any time by now."

Do Yun cleared his throat looked at Sang Hyeon and nodded while Hyun Soo got back to her work.

Soon customers started to arrive and Do Yun went to serve.

"Excuse me!" A customer came and called out Hyun Soo who was making coffee.

"Yes, ma'am how ma-" As soon as she turned around her eyes widened.

In front of her was standing Eun Soo wearing an indigo coloured collared shirt with a stitched stylish tie paired up with a white knee-length straight skirt having a slit in the between along with with a white coat just hung on her shoulders.

"Eun So-"

"Nope!" Eun Soo butted in between.

"I am no one to you." She said motioned her hand to stop Hyun Soo.

"I am a customer so give me some respect."

"Ah! My whole morning is ruined now." She rolled her eyes being frustrated.

"Ah! This is so frustrating. I never thought I'll bump into someone so unfortunate. Why did you want to come out of all the cafes in this city?!" She yelled at Yoona who was standing all quiet beside her.

Hyun Soo stood there quiet, her eyes lowered cause fighting or debating with her elders wasn't something her mother had taught her. Her eyes went a bit wet as she wasn't able to say anything.

"Call someone else, I won't give YOU my order." She said emphasising the word you.

"But-" Hyun Soo tried to speak up.

"Shut up! And do as your customers say."

"Don't you know how to behave with your customers? I'm not at all satisfied with your service. Call your manager, call her now!" She yelled.

"Oh ho!!" Someone exclaimed from behind making Eun Soo go silent.

"Too loud." She added as she touched her ear elegantly.

A slim, tall and fair girl walked towards the counter, she was wearing a coral coloured dress and sugar cookie coloured boots along with stockings and a white fur coat covering up to her thighs.

"Hey! Give me a cup of black coffee." She asked as she chewed her chewing gum and leaned her elbow on the counter.

Eun Soo looked at her and said,

"Excuse me, I've come here before you."

"Oh really?! So what should I do then...reward you with a trophy or something?" And she chuckled.

Eun Soo sighed in frustration and looked at Hyun Soo,

"Call someone else and let me place my order, I'm a busy working woman."

"Well...you see, girl."

"I'm not free either and the best thing is, I can take Order from you too. No drama." The girl who arrived just now said and winked at Hyun Soo.

"Stop it! You can't be as busy as me!" Eun Soo yelled.

"And you stop yelling, do you even know who am I, stop comparing me to you."

"Why? Who are you?" Eun Soo asked being furious.

The girl stepped close to Eun Soo looked at her raising her one eyebrow and kept her hands on her waist,

"Do you know the name of Aera industries?"

"Isn't it that company which you desperately want to collab with, Eun Soo?" Yoona whispered from behind.

"Answer me, do you know?"

"Yeah of course, who doesn't know them?" Eun Soo replied.

"I'm the heiress of that company. So stop it! And step aside."

Eun Soo gasped as her eyes widened up while Hyun Soo, on the other hand, had same expressions.

"Now close your mouth and step aside." She said and Eun Soo stepped aside.

"Place my order first." She said and leaned on the corner.

Hyun Soo looked at her sister, she never wanted this chaos to be created. She lowered her head and opened her notepad.

"What do you want ma'am?" She asked.

"Wait." She said and Hyun Soo looked up.

"Why are you both staring at me? Do you want to fight now?" She looked at them.

"Let's go somewhere else." Yoona tugged Eun Soo sleeve and whispered. Eun Soo nodded and before leaving she glared at Hyun Soo as if she was the one who created all this chaos...
