Chapter: Important Business

It's the afternoon break and Do Yun is missing, Aera is waiting for him while Hyun Soo is inquiring to Joon about his earlier conversation with Aera.

"Why was she thanking you? What happened?" She was curious.

"Why are you so curious?" Joon asked as he came out of the counter followed by her.

"No....just...." She scratched her head.

"Jealous?" Joon's eyes widened.

"No! When did I say so?..." Hyun Soo yelled.

Joon laughed, "Don't hide it from me!"

He ran as Hyun Soo tried catching him and they both ended up bumping into Sang Hyeon who had just now entered the cafe.

"Sorry, ma'am!" He quickly bowed.

"Kids! Why haven't you eaten yet?"

"We are waiting for Do Yun!" Aera quickly responded to Sang Hyeon's question followed by nods of Hyun Soo and Joon.

"He won't be coming for lunch so...you all should eat already." She ordered as she walked in to sit on the chair beside Aera.

"Where...is he?" Hyun Soo asked.

Sang Hyeon smiled as she looked at her, "He has some quite important business to handle."

"Oh!" Was all Hyun Soo said...

"Hello, sir how may I help you?" The attendant asked Do Yun as she walked towards the glass desk covering some beautiful pendant sets.

He looked at her and hesitated, "Ummm....I..."

"Are you perhaps...looking for a set to buy?" She asked.

"Yeah! Exactly!" He nodded.

"Which occasion sir, maybe I can be a help." She offered.

"Actually I..." He scratched the back of his neck.

"What is he doing in there?" Han Gyeol thought to himself as he kept looking at the huge shop standing outside wearing his black overcoat and coffee coloured turtle neck sweater.

Being curious as Do Yun didn't come out even after twenty minutes he went inside only to find him standing in front of a glass table and staring at those jewels kept inside it being baffled.

"If you want to propose someone then...I guess this one is nice, girls usually like this kind of design. It's quite trending nowadays." She showed him a heart-shaped pendant with small diamonds stunned in it.

He gave it a close stare and frowned, "I don't think she'll like it, it's....too girly. Lemme see something else."

"Sure sir!" She took out all the pendants which she thought he might like or Do Yun suggested to take out. Finally, the table within his reach was full of different square boxes each carrying beautiful pendants making him more confused.

"I think...this one will fit your occasion." Someone interrupted in between making Do Yun looking in the person's direction.

He frowned, "You?..." He pointed at him aggressively as he remembered his face.

"Yes, I am that man who came to the cafe often." Han Gyeol said as he put Do Yun' finger aside while holding.

"What do you want now?" Do Yun was ready to fight with him but he controlled his anger as Han Gyeol was just a mere human in his eyes.

"I was having a bad time back then, I was finding someone who...was a con man and I was told that he used to come to that cafe so...I barged in many times. But, I'm sorry for all the inconvenience I created for your girlfriend there." Han Gyeol claimed, wearing his nicest smile.

Do Yun still glared at him not being sure about his statements,

"Please don't misunderstand me, I'm sorry once again!" He bowed making Do Yun panic quickly.

People around him started looking at them making Do Yun uncomfortable, since his childhood, he never loved gaining attention and so he quickly held Han Gyeol's shoulders,

"Its... it's alright, please you may stand straight now. You're older than me, so please...." He requested.

Han Gyeol smirked at Do Yun' foolishly polite manner and stood up straight, but as soon as he looked at Do Yun's eyes he saw something quite interesting. He kept looking in his eyes until Do Yun snapped him out of his thoughts,

"You alright mister?" He asked.

Han Gyeol again smiled and nodded, "I want to suggest something to you...can I?"

"What?!" Do Yun exclaimed being confused.

"All I want to say is...this might look good on that girl, she is already quite beautiful and this pendant this perfect for her." He picked up a box which had a pendant having a knot like design inside a small circle embedded with diamonds.

Do Yun looked at it, "What do you say?" Han Gyeol asked.

Do Yun smiled awkwardly at him and nodded slightly,

"Thanks for the advice... it's really very beautiful."

"Then...I'll take my leave." Han Gyeol said and bowed down slightly and Do yun bowed back.

As Han Gyeol left, the lady who was standing there all this time asked, "So sir...should I wrap it?"

"No...that plastered smile of him doesn't m let me trust him. Lemme see something else." Do Yun said as he looked at the lady.

"Oh..okay.." The lady was also frustrated by now as it's been quite a long time since she was attending there to this one customer who was not able to make any particular decision.

Do Yun looked around and his eyes got stuck at one set and he quickly asked for it,

"What a choice sir! It's a rare edition." She said.

The pendant was indeed beautiful and Do Yun even without hesitating ordered, "I want this!"

"But sir it's quite expensive..." She excused.

"No matter how much...I want this.."

It was obvious of Do Yun to spend all that money which he had been saving for all these six years doing his job in the cafe with also the money sometimes Sang Hyeon used to give him as presents or with any other excuse. And now that he had seen that pendant he knew where to spend his all-time saving...

"Should I pack it-"

"No! just hand it over to me!" He said and as soon as she gave him the box he ran out of the shop towards the road to catch the first cab which he saw available.

"How could this happen? How can I not see any weakness or guilt in his eyes? How can he be so happy all these years?" Han Gyeol clenched his fists at his thought.

Even though he tried finding Do Yun's smallest guilt or weakness there wasn't any and Han Gyeol was indeed surprised and angered by this.

"After what his family did to me....he has no guilt? How can he forget something like this so....easily?"

"No! It can't end this way...if he dies without living his guilt and knowing about his family's sins then it's all vain. I want him to feel the pain which his father gave to my dad, I... want him to shed tears of blood. I can't let him die so easily."

He clenched and unclenched his jaw as he saw Do Yun coming out of the shop holding the pendant box so tightly and smiling all his heart out. His heart ached to see him so full of his happiness and so, he declared,

"If you don't have a weakness I'll make one yours and then I'll see I how survive seeing her being hurt..."
