Chapter 19 - Part 5

"It would appear it wasn't just a story," the Captain said. "The architect's drawings of the Greyfort foundations were always odd. They didn't go nearly deep enough to support a structure of that size. Besides, with how moist the area is, you'd need to cement it all to stupid depths. But they didn't. It would seem a giant's grave is the reason why."

"A giant's grave…" the Earl mused. "Is that good news then? Mane wants it rebuilt, doesn't he? You see value in that location as well?"

"Well, it is certainly good news, but that fort will forever be unusable, I'd wager," the Captain said. "Though I have yet to see it myself, it seems the giant king was awoken from his slumber."

"…Mane is due back this evening," the Earl said darkly, his fingers gripping the edge of his desk tight. "He'll have to find a way to deal with it… Has it begun its rampage yet? Is it as strong as the legends say? Wait, why do you say it's good news?"
