Latecomer

We are fixing our stuff before going to basketball first. I finished first so I waited for Sam to finish.

"Let's go" she said calmly. I nodded to her and we went together. Before we went to the elevator I pulled her "Where are we going?"

I did not answer her. I just held her hand. As I recall I saw a map here. We dont know where the basketball court is so we need a map.

She withdrew her hand from me and pulled me. She confronted me. She touched my face "Why?" I asked her.

She sigh "I should be the one to ask" she let go of the grip on my face and looked around "Why are we here? I thought we were going to your brother's game" I nodded at her

"Do you know where to go?" She shook his head

"Of course..... not, we did not ask where" She scratched her head and smiled at me.

We both look at the map "On the 8th floor" we said together. We looked at each other and laughed.

We entered the elevator holding hands. When I noticed, the canteen was really the only solo on the floor. This 8th floor is divided into two. Basketball court and indoor swimming pool.

"Are you sure this is the place?" Sam asked me, I nodded.

"There's a sign saying basketball court" I pointed to the sign so she nodded.

"Why does it seem so quiet? Theres no one here except from us. Do they really have a game?" I nodded. My older brother is one of the celebrities at school. I think 90% of girls enrolled at this school are fans of him so why even a shadow is nowhere to be found here.

"Let me text him" she nodded. I am currently typing when she asks me "What did he say?"

"I'm still typing sis. Excited?" We both laughed.

'We're out of court, where are you?'

We just waited for a while before he replied 'Come in'

"Come in" said Sam.

We walked to the door together. I grabbed the doorknob and pushed it. "Is my bother pranking me? It won't open" Sam laughed, I looked at her with astonishment "The sign said pull, not push" I looked at the sign she pointed and acted like nothing happened.

She opened the door and we looked at each other at the same time. "I think this room is supported by sound proof" she nodded at what I said. When we entered I saw my brother and was seriously looking at his cellphone while typing. For a few moments I felt my cellphone vibrate.

'Get down here. Include Sam '

"What did he say?" Sam asked

"Let's go down there" I immediately answered her, she nodded.

When we got down I called Chadd. He looked at Sam. They both smiled. Chadd looked away for a moment because his teammate called him "Your brother is handsome" she whispered to me. She stood up straight when Chadd looked at us again.

Sam and I followed Chadd. He made us sit on a bench full of their belongings. "Where are they Chadd?" He looked around before looking at me.

"Still in the dressing room. I just came out for you. Stay here, ok?" We both nodded. Chadd leave us for a second. He coming back to his team.

"Omg !! I will call you sister-in-law from now on" Sam promised with a smile.

"Wow. Thats so quick" I said incredulously.

"You're haven't mentioned that you have a handsome and hot brother."

"Did you ask?" I tease her.

"Yah"

I laughed at what she said "I'm sorry" I said sarcastically. She just stared at me and looked again at the distant Chadd.

A few minutes later Chadd came out with his other teammates. Samantha's mouth form a O again using her mouth. I really can't deny that all my older brother's team are handsome.

They all stopped when they looked at our side. Their serious faces were replaced by smiles. They run towards Sam and me. "Give me one" I looked at her as she whispered again.

"I thought I was your sister-in-law?" I tease.

"It was earlier" I laughed at what she said. I couldn't answer her because Chadd is already in front of us.

"Are you going to watch a game?" I nodded and smiled at them. They looked at Sam and Chadd at the same time.

"This is the first time that Leader has brought a woman besides her sister" was that a whisper? We heard it. I looked at Sam, as if she was enjoying herself.

"Do you think Leader has a girlfriend?" I laughed as Sam covered her face and slapped me lightly.

"I thought you didn't like my brother anymore? Whats wrong with you?" She smiled at me foolishly. I just stared at her.

I was about to speak when Chadd preceded me "She is Rey's friend" they turned to Chadd and Sam at the same time. At the same time, they also approached us with their heads bowed.

"Sorry" they said at once.

I was about to speak when we heard the door of the other dress room open. I tilted my head. They just new faces for me, I haven't seen them yet. Last game I haven't watch the game.

"Are they missing one member?" I asked Chadd he was in front of me. He turned to me and looked back. I also noticed that the whole court fell silent. Even Sam who seems to be salivating.

"You like boys, you getting wild" I whispered to him

"Just for fun" we smiled at each other and at the same time we looked back at the other team. They are already in front of us. I am the only one who noticed that Chadd's team seemed to hide us from the other team "What's up?" Sam also noticed

"I don't know" Chadd and the rest of team hiding us. At their height we could not see what is happening in front.

"I think our leader will be here later" Sam and I look at each other when we heard that "We can start the game without him"

"arrogant" I nodded at what Sam whispered to me. Sam and I looked at Llewelyn at the same time as he laughed softly, we caught him looking at us too.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to hear that" he smiled at us. I looked at Sam and laughed.

"Your saliva is dripping" I whispered to her. I laughed as she wiped her mouth. She was serious about my joke.

Chadd's team is also serious about what the other team said. They have already started the game. I glanced at my watch.

I looked at the score board. Chadd's team lead. I gasped. I noticed that the other team was also smart and know how to play well. They just kind of struggle because they don't have a leader.

I looked next to me. Sam was enjoying herself. I smiled. The strength of her scream was out of the lungs and she really shouted cheering in my brother's group.

I felt someone staring at me so I looked for that. I saw a man who averted his eyes when I looked at him. I just removed my gaze and focused on the game.

A few moments later everyone in the court fell silent. Chadd also stopped from playing. The door of the other dressing room opened.

I don't know but I can't take my eyes off the man. I could see in the corner of my eye that my brother was looking at me. Sam also fell silent. Her mood change.

I stood up and spontaneously walked my feet next to Sam. "I found him" I turned to Sam as she spoke. She did not look at me so she did not seem to talk to me.

When I confronted the man who had just arrived, he was looking at me. Our eyes met so I'm sure he was looking at me. I felt my heart beat faster for an unknown reason. I could see in his eyes that he seemed to want to say something but he could not say.

Chadd stopped in front of me so I looked up at him. Annoyed he grabbed my hands and pulled away. As Chadd took me with him I looked at the man again, he did not follow my gaze. Did I just make a mistake? Is he really looking at Sam not at me?

Chadd took me home, I couldn't even say goodbye to Sam. I left her there. Mom was even surprised. She asked me what happened. I shook my head and said I did not know. I really don't know what happened.

I went into my room. I already take a shower and ate my dinner. Chadd haven't eat yet so I prepeared a food for him before going up. Chadd is at school again. He came back after he take me home.

'Take care. Heat your food when you got home. I prepared some in the kitchen.' I texted Chadd before I went to bed.

I just closed my eyes to sleep when I remembered Sam. Im going to text her when I remembered I never got her number again. I gasped again. I'll actually get her number tomorrow. I promise. Get Sam number is my goal tomorrow.
