Troubled Nun

Crono was helping build a house with others it had been a few weeks since he arrived, he was wearing jeans boots and a red and black flannel shirt a baseball cap, and glasses. He was on the roof nailing down shingles. They finished for the day he goes and eats dinner with them in the church soup and bread and venison. he would then go to bed in the guard barracks with the other men that serve with the guards. The next day Crono was chosen for guard duty and he would have to stand in front of the church all day but Crono could handle it since he was a Cadet Knight Soldier.

"So, what I gathered here is that these guys were once Cadets that served under Raphael when she was the Commander but once she left, They went with her and found this village which doesn't run under the Cadets Order," thinks Crono. a Man comes by who is also on watch.

"Man, your good at this kid," said The Man.

"Thanks, when I was starting, we did this a lot in the city," said Crono.

"Yeah, I do not miss it. I like this place," said The Man.

"Yeah, it seems peaceful here," said Crono.

"Sure is. Oh, by the way, tonight the church is off limits," said The Man.

"Why is that?" asked Crono.

"Well, Today is her son's birthday and he is no longer around," said The Man.

"I see," said Crono. They t keep guarding for the next few hours till they went to bed. Crono lies down for a while he starts hearing glass breaking in the church next door. Crono gets up and gets dressed and goes and sees what going on.

Crono enters the church and heads to the kitchen area where he sees Raphael all drunk throwing beer bottles.

"Hey, you, okay?" asked Crono. She throws it at the wall of the kitchen. He sees she is not listening to him.

"I guess I have no choice then," said Crono. He grabs her right and puts her and a chair and ties her hands together with some rope laying around.

"Hey, untie me," said Raphael as she struggled.

"Not until you sober up," said Crono. He starts to clean the kitchen as he listens to Raphael until she is sober a bit.

"Listen, I know losing someone is hard," said Crono.

"He isn't dead," said Raphael. Crono then looks around if missed a spot till he sees a book on the table called The Devil Knight.

"I see you must like this old book," said Crono.

"it's more of a sad tale if you ask me," said Raphael.

"You act as if you meet the Knight in this story," said Crono.

"I do he is my son," said Raphael. Crono looked at her but he knew she was not lying as his training as Cadet taught him to know a lie when he heard one.

"Your son is the Devil Knight?" asked Crono.

"Yes, I am the Daughter of Jaberiel, Raphael, Fallen Angel who fell in love with the Demon King," said Raphael.

"I see," said Crono.
