The Index

Crono and Azah find themselves on an icy mountain in a snowstorm. Crono still could not move.

"CRONO!" yelled Azah in the jar panicking.

"I can't move," said Crono. Who starts to freeze since his helmet was not up, he could die. He tries hard to move but to no avail.

"Come on, Crono," said Azah. After a little while Crono was covered in ice and was losing heat and still cannot move.

"Azah in my pocket…," said Crono before he passed out from the cold.

"Damn, I need to get out of this thing," said Azah. He tries everything but he was stuck. Azah sees Sophie from the library she was wearing a fur jacket she was walking by when she saw them.

"What? hey come over here," said Azah. She rushes over.

"What you two are here too," said Sophie.

"No, time there a button on his neck press it," said Azah. Sophie goes to Crono's neck and presses the button and Crono's helmet goes up over his head. Sophie tries to drag Crono but he was heavy for her size to drag.

"I wish I was bigger to help more," said Sophie. Azah would look and see something in his pocket.

"What that?" asked Azah. Sophie went and looked in his pocket and pulls out the Nightmare Amulet.

"A strange necklace," said Sophie.

"That could help us out," said Azah. "get me out of this jar and I could help you and him."

"Alright," said Sophie. She gets down and after a bit, she got Azah out of the jar and gives him the Nightmare Amulet. He would transform into his God of Nightmare form. He helps Crono with his left arm over Azah's right shoulder.

"Follow me. I know where we can get out of the storm," said Sophie. He starts to follow her.

Azah was following Sophie through the storm.

"To think I would be trying to save your life, Crono. I do not know what will happen next honestly. But I know I want to help you out. I have done a lot of horrible things to people but for some reason, you still try to help," said Azah. "Now I know what I want and that is to make sure that monster pays for what he has done not just for my sister but for all of those who have suffered from his desire for Chaos."

They made it to a cabin and enter it. It was an average cabin.

"Lay him down on the bed and I will get the fire going," said Sophie. Azah would lie him down on the bed in the cabin.

"so, you can talk?" asked Azah.

"Of course, I can talk," said Sophie.

"Well, you just were quiet in the Library," said Azah.

"you ever heard of never talking to strangers," said Sophie.

"True," said Azah.

"He should be fine now I have a Fire Crystal that can warm his body up," said Sophie giving a red crystal.

"Huh? your pretty smart for a kid," Azah seemed impressed by her.

"I'm not really a kid just in this form I have lived since old Aria," said Sophie.

"that's correct it seems you went in at a bad time," said Azah.

"Well, I will grow once Sanctuary enters Aria it will undo the spell," said Sophie.

"Your probably no ordinary person, are you?" questioned Azah.

"No, I'm not even human I am what you call an artificial lifeform created by the great scholar Logan the Creator," said Sophie. "I am Sophie The Index."

"An Index?" Azah wondered, "Like in the back of a book."

"Correct, I hold every knowledge from Aria," said Sophie.

"But the Library?" asked Azah in shock.

"it was a backup if I managed to die or be destroyed," said Sophie.

"Wow, but I've never seen this Logan guy in the library," said Azah.

"Sadly, Logan was offered to be with us but he decided to live his life his own way. he probably no longer with us as he went to his City, Sagrada," said Sophie. "But enough of these questions once he awake, we must leave the painting we are in and rescue the other Scholars."
