Chapter Six: My Eyes!

We stayed silent the whole trip to school, tension thick in the confines of his car. Why do I care if he thinks I'm a child? Why should I care about anything he says about me anyway? I know my truth. Nothing he says will change it. He turned the music down with the buttons on his steering wheel and pulled into the coffee shop a street away from our school.

"Gia may have forced me to bring you to school, but I can't drive through the school gates with you in my car. You can call your boyfriend to come fetch you here, or you can walk the rest of the way. I would prefer you called him though, because of your condition. I need coffee so I will wait until your boyfriend gets here and then leave for school." He said plainly, turning to look at me for an answer. I blinked. Once. Twice. Of course, he explained earlier at breakfast. And I agreed with him. I didn't want to be known to have any relations with this man because I have a reputation to uphold, and that does not include being the goddaughter of my principal's dead brother.

"Hundreds. Thank you for the lift." I didn't wait for him to answer. I exited his car as gingerly as I could and went inside Seattle Coffee Shop. I texted Ayanda to pick me up on her way to school, and she texted back immediately telling me she was on her way. Kevin would surely be busy with his duties, and one thing I did not need was to be nagged about duty. I sat by the booth in the corner, where I could see the entrance and the parking lot. Jackass had just walked through the door, and I couldn't help but look at him. Tall frame, broad shoulders and a straight posture. His walk was as sure as his nature. Today, he was wearing a black suit, with a white shirt and a black tie. He had gotten a haircut over the weekend, so his hair was not as dishevelled as it was when I first met him. If you were to ask me, I'd say he looks better with shaggy hair. His face was freshly shaven today, no hint of a stubble. I liked the stubble. I watched as he headed straight for the barista, who smiled at him and gave him a fist bump. The two men exchanged a few words that I couldn't hear, before he was interrupted by his ringing phone. The barista made his coffee while he spoke on the phone, with a frown on his face. His eyes randomly flickered to mine, sending bolts up my spine. I diverted my eyes to the parking lot, irritated with myself that he caught me looking at him. Again.

Ayanda had just pulled up. Sighing with relief, I stood up and started for the door, but stopped when someone called my name. I turned to look; it was the barista. His name is Tony. Ayanda was convinced he likes me, but I begged to differ. Tony was just nice.

"You're leaving without your coffee?" he asked me with a smile. Jackass was still standing where I had last seen him and was looking at me with a small frown. What have I done now?

"I didn't order any coffee." I said to Tony, confused.

"But a coffee order to Miss Azania Wyatt was paid for, and you're the only Azania I know." What?

"Uh," I started, still confused.

"Take your coffee Ms Wyatt, you don't want to be late for school." Jackass said, still looking at me quizzically.

"Like I said, I did not order any coffee."

"I did. Now take it and go." He said, his voice telling me that it was an order and not a request. Why did he buy me coffee?

"Uhm ..." I paused, looking between Jackass and Tony. Tony was just as confused as I was, I could tell. "Okay then, thanks." I took my coffee and smiled at Tony, then left the coffee shop without giving Jackass a glance. Its just coffee. No big deal.

"Are you sure your dad is not a terrorist? How does he take your phone away, and then move you to who knows where in the same week?" Ayanda said when I slipped into her car. She had her dreads bundled on top of her head in a messy bun, showing off her cheekbones. She's so pretty, it makes me sick. "I even drove to your place and found the house empty. I thought you left the country or something and didn't tell me. I was heartbroken." She told me with a pout and backed out of the parking lot. Jackass was walking towards his beautiful car when Ayanda pulled out.

"Things just happened really fast. And you know my dad. When he makes his mind up on something, you can't change it back. I was still getting punished for suspension." I said to her, resting my head on the headrest.

"I still can't believe you got suspended. I mean, everyone was talking about how the new principal is allegedly a hard ass at assembly, but no one ever thought he'd suspend someone 2 days in. Never mind the captain of the varsity team. You should see how well behaved everyone is. Even Justin!" the last thing I wanted to do right now, was talk about that Jackass. Luckily, we had made it school.

"I can't fucking stand him." I growled, making Ayanda laugh.

We spotted Kevin and Justin climbing out of Kevin's Jeep, amusing me because that meant Mr Head Prefect was late. They walked over to where Ayanda and I were waiting, howling like wolves. I rolled my eyes as my boyfriend's arm snaked around my waist and pulled me into his arms. He pressed his hand on the small of my back and gave me a lingering kiss on the lips.

"So much for following the school rules." Justin mumbled beside us, making Kevin laugh at him, followed by a light shove, before tucking me under his arm.

"That only counts to people who didn't miss their injured and very grounded girlfriends." He said smoothly, to which Ayanda aww'd.

"Well, there's that. And the fact that school hasn't started yet so ..." he trailed off and we all laughed.

"I can respect that." I said with a chuckle of my own.

"Thank you, my Lady. You were missed. Are you okay now?"

"Fit as an ox." I chirped.

"I thought it was fiddle." Justin said with his eyebrows scrunched.

"What? You're an idiot. It's 'fit as an Olympic athlete'!" Ayanda protested in a 'duh' tone.

"What?" we all said in unison.

"Why would you say, 'fit as an ox'? Have you seen an ox run for miles and miles on end? Not to mention a fiddle, no one would ever call a fiddle fit. If you had said 'fit as a stallion' then maybe I would have accepted it. Not a freakin' ox!" she threw her hands up in the air and let out an exasperated sigh. It was quiet for a moment before we all burst out in laughter. My insides and my back were hurting from all the laughing, and I couldn't even laugh anymore. I was wheezing, desperately begging for air to fill my lungs. Ayanda huffed and walked away, and we all trailed behind her, still shaking slightly from our laughing fits. I wouldn't trade my feminidiot for anything. I love her so much.

The rest of my day was pretty uneventful. I was rushing to catch up on all the work I had missed in my week of absence and I was avoiding getting into any petty arguments with my teachers. School was out before I knew it, and since I didn't want my boyfriend or my friends to know where I live, I requested an uber. R180 to get to the other side of the city. I selected my dad's card instead of my own because there was no way I was paying that with the little that I have in my account.

Nobody was home, apart from the household staff. Five people in total. I really need to know how he can afford all of this. From what I have seen, Gia is a housewife. So, the money must be coming from him. But definitely not from Westerbridge Academy.

I went to my room and did my homework and a bit of studying. I knew that I had to pick up my grades if I wanted to get into a good university. The sun was setting by the time I was done, but it was still hot. I sighed as I caught a glimpse of the crystal blue water outside and decided that I was going to go in for a swim while I still had the house to myself. I stripped down and changed into my Great Britain bathing suit, tying the strings where they needed to be tied and untied my hair to let cascade down my back. I walked out into the hot humid air and dipped a toe in the water, it was just the right temperature. Lifting my arms above my head, I dived into the cool water, staying underwater for as long as my lungs allowed me. I loved swimming because it helped me clear my head and get all my ducks in a row. I did a few laps until I decided to just let go and float. Once my fingers started pruning, I stepped out of the pool and decided to explore the garden. This place was huge, and there were still parts that I hadn't seen yet. As I walked the perimeter of the garden, I noticed a small rectangular wooden house at the far end of the yard, behind the pool house. I remembered Gia telling me that they had a steam room somewhere back here, and now that the air was a bit chilly and biting at my skin, some steam sounded like heaven. I was still in my bikini, dripping wet and barefoot when I walked across the garden towards the sauna. I was taking my time to marvel at the beautiful flowers around me. But as I neared the wooden house, I heard sounds. They were faint, and I couldn't quite make out what they were. I stopped and strained my ears to listen to the sounds again, and this time I didn't hear anything. With a shrug of the shoulders and a quickened pace, I was in the process of opening the door to the steam room when the sound I heard earlier stopped me dead in my tracks. This time, the sound was loud and evident. And I recognised the voice immediately. It was Gia.

"Ohhhh ... yeaah" she moaned. Was that? Nah, it can't be!

"Yes baby!" I know that voice! It belonged to no one other than the Jackass himself. After he groaned for the second time, I knew that I had to turn back. I knew that I should close the door, walk away and pretend that I never heard anything. But the curious side of me opened the door further. The hot steam and musky scent that was emanating from the steam room slapped me across the face. I had to blink a few times until my eyes adjusted to the poor lighting in the small overheated room. And what I saw in front of me was the reason why the small but audible scream escaped from my very wide mouth. The first thing I saw was the chiselled body of Principal Jackass. But this time, the bottom half of his body was completely naked as well, his head snapped back while his fingers dug into Porcelain's very pale skin. She was the spitting image of a sex goddess. Her face was contorted in pleasure, her red hair sticking to her face and body. She was glistening from what I presumed to be perspiration and steam and she had her butt against my principal's pelvis. The moment that scream left my mouth, they scrambled apart, causing Gia to fall into the hot tub and Jackass standing in the middle of the room looking like a deer caught in headlights. His eyes were wide, and his face was flushed. And that wasn't even the worst part; his ... 'friend' was pointing right at me! Gia had managed to compose herself and covered her exposed breasts with her hands while Jackass just continued to stare at me. His eyes held many emotions: anger, frustration, shock, embarrassment, and lust? I finally managed to come to my senses, so I spun around and sprinted away, begging the image of my naked principal to vanish from my pure mind. But I knew that was impossible, that was an image I would never forget.
