Bones In The Abyss

The roots of her lustrous hazel hair were taut up in a pony, her scalp was stretched with her hands laying at each side of her thigh, twitching as if begging to ruin her perfectly tied hair. She was starting to get anxious as they all kept on studying her looks, maybe it was just her imagination nevertheless her bravery had hit rock bottom.

The maiden wasn't wearing anything fancy, in fact, she felt like some sort of soldier that was about to be engaged in a war, with her Multicam black combat shirt along with her grassy tactical cargo pants and attached there were a drop leg holster and a leg sheath where her weapons lie perfectly fit and lastly is her inky combat boots designed for a rough running. And all of these were given by the two.

It was now four o clock in the morning which gives all the people in the room a little more time to get ready-physically and mentally. Everett is now literally about to approach hell, in the room was all the participants with all the things they'll use to kill and it made her weak to her knees. Sharp blades that can kill within a second reflecting her emerald orbs.

Just seeing the blade made her wounded calf where the signature of Asher's blade felt like it was thumping and trying to dislocate with her knee, she felt her breathing beginning to be rough as it was getting harder and harder to breath every second she blinks.

Her legs were trembling like a foal it was as her nails were digging the palm of her hands, her head slumped downwards afraid to see other murderous weapons. The lady kept on gulping here and there, suddenly a hand rests at the top of hers, giving it a squeeze and it did make her relax however considering that this was a room for the participants made her anxiety a hundred times worst.

The lady, though, did not dare to look at whoever hands it were. She rather not know her murderer or whoever they were because if they're trying to come to her it only gives her one thinking- she was their target but then again, who wouldn't pick her, considering that they all knew she had no experience.

"Everett, love. It's me, Alastair."

Again, she made no effort looking at him and feeling a bit relax for she felt an intense fear of being eaten alive by the man in front of her, in fact, his behavior vexes her and she's had enough of it. "Go away!"

"No, I told you already. I'm here to protect you." the maiden groaned, pulling her hands to her chest. "I don't need to be protected by you."

The man sighed as he reaches his hand to her cheek, he knelt down in front of her, before caressing her soft smooth skin. The girl could only look at him with wide eyes, her brain processing what just happened, and when she did she quickly took his hands off her face, giving him the most disgusted look she has.

When her name was called, she speedily took her things leaving the weird situation. When she saw the other students waiting for her to come in Everett nodded to them, her mouth beginning to dry as she moseyed to the telephone, she bit her lip as she stared at the oblivion. Her heart was hammering inside her chest, her hands debating whether she was going to call the number or not, in the end, her thump pressed the numbers as she brings it to her ear, the ringing of the telephone seems to get louder and louder every minute then finally a voice spoke.

Her eyes tearing up a little."Hi! This is Lily, I'm busy at the moment. Please call me later." With that, the line was cut off. The maiden chuckled a little, a glimpse of saddened look smacks her face, there were tears threatening to fall but she titled her head up, letting the salty water stay inside her eyeballs.

This was the main reason why there were sent here in the first place, to get to talk to their loved ones- one last time, in case they may not have survived yet even the voice of her family she did not hear. She placed the telephone back in its place, her head up in the clouds as she runs back to the main room.

Her tears were like a dam, getting full and ready to burst but she wasn't going to let others see how weak she was, she rather not anyway. It was now five o clock when the players are walking over to the vehicle and it scared the woman.

Never in her life, she experienced riding a yacht and there were two yachts waiting for them which confused the lady. All of the other students approach their designated vehicle, leaving her looking at them as she narrowed her eyes and slope her brows in confusion. "Everett, do you not know where you are placed?"

The same woman who told them the rules, also known as Murphy Calla West asked her with her other eyebrow raised. The young lady slowly nodded her head, the woman breaths deeply as she rolled her eyes. "Why weren't you informed? They tell you that after your call."

She could only avert her eyes as she remembered how she messed up, she did hear a bunch of the students shouting but she didn't know they were shouting at HER. Murphy pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling pissed at the dense behavior of her new schoolmate. "Just choose a yacht, it doesn't change anything anyw-"

Murphy cuts herself as she observes the familiar figure walking towards them. The woman scoffed as she clicks her tongue when her eyes finally recognize the human. "Alastair Moore...how come I haven't heard that you're going to participate? If I have, I would've joined as well."

Venom laced Murphy's voice as she spits poison to his face yet the male made no reaction, instead, he smiled so sweetly to Everett as he walks towards her, taking her hand in his. " Can you not touch me without my consent." The maiden frown as she pulls her hand away from his hands and securing it by placing it to her chest scared that she might get slapped- she added. "Please?"

There was silence for a moment as the male just stared at her. Murphy's irked face still not changing and it may have even grown worse when she saw how the interaction of the two flowed and it even revolt her seeing how Alastair was acting in front of the new girl. What's more, is that he dared to ignore her! "How dare you ignore me! You useless son of a-"

"Come now, love, we need to go." Though the lady wanted to not follow him, she had little choices and he was the best of them all, she rather let herself be with the male than some other strangers that may kill her in a millisecond, at least the teal eyed male seems to considerate... And so like a little puppy waving its tail she approaches him.

This made the inky haired male smile, as he snakes his arms to her shoulders, guiding her to their yacht. "I swear on my daddy's name- I'm gonna choke the life out of you!" Murphy screamed at the top of her lungs, her knuckles white in irritation. Heading inside the yacht, the girl orbs shimmered in curiosity and wonder.

It was magnificent and it left her speechless however it wasn't just the mere yacht that left her with no words, it was the people inside the yacht that made her lose her focus. And she couldn't think of anything but the words 'if looks could kill, I'll be dead by now.' Making their way to the end of the yacht, her head was slumped downwards and she was grateful for the man that was by her side though she still finds him suspicious, he was still the nicest guy she's ever met so far.

When they were finally alone, the lady could finally breathe again. The fresh air of late October entering her lungs as the azure-colored water seems darker with the dark clouds hovering at the top of it, the peaceful scenario felt like it was a portrait but after a few minutes, the yacht began to move, because of the sudden movement the lady swayed a little but luckily her hand gripped the railing.

A breath of relief escaped the maiden's lips but there was a movement she saw in her peripheral vision which made her look back, the male was standing awkwardly, both his hands hiding at his back as he smiles at her like he had done nothing wrong yet his tense body tells her that he had done something and she certainly knows what he's done.

She couldn't help but giggle at his personality, it was nothing but a little thing but even then he tried to catch her. When the girl saw his aghast face directly at her, she shook her head as she frowns at her foolishness, she hated how she was getting comfortable with a stranger and much more she was beginning to trust him and she hated every single second of it.

The girl looked at the scenario seeing the island, suddenly a loud alarm goes off in the yacht. Swiftly the male took the girl's arms, pulling her to his chest. As they were about to jump, a knife was sent their way and it made the girl gasp. She looked in the direction where the knife came, leading her to the woman that was scowling at the two.

The next thing she knows, her eyes caught the same woman who threw a knife at them was now lying dead on the floor, another murderer entered the scene and it was the man that was holding her in his arms. An ax flew in the air, making its way to the two, Alastair quickly threw Everett away from him as he ducks, the ax was sent into the sea as his teal eyes glower at the male that was on the control panel of the yacht.

The stranger rapidly took the gun from his back pocket as he starts shooting Alastair however even before he can aim properly, a bullet went through his eyeball, chunks of his brain fell out from his bloodied eye as his blood gushed everywhere. His lifeless body fell onto the steering wheel, the captain gone as the dead body controls the wheel, the yacht turned right, following the command of the weight.

Alastair licked his lips as he dart towards the female who was about to stab Everett, grabbing her hair. He yanked her in the opposite direction as he jumped through the air, his combat boots made contact with the female's abdomen, the girl gasps, her breath caught in her mouth. Alastair laughed, letting his hand run to the smooth wooden texture of the girl's bat.

He bit his lips in ecstasy as he raises the spikey baseball bat in the air, with so much strength the girl was squashed. Her face ate the spikey texture, as her blood splatter all over Alastair's face however the male did not stop, he kept hitting the girl until she no longer could scream, pieces of her brain and her organs freely exposed themselves in the cold windy weather.

Everett screamed at the top of her lungs as she dives on the floor, avoiding the touch of the knife in the male's hand, his hand swiftly glides in the air, the knife continuously coming nearer her skin. Everett kicked the male's tibialis, making him dropped to his knees as she kneed his head sending him flying on the ground, his knife out of his reach.

Speedily she reached over to it however even before her hands can reach the knife, she felt an intense pain in her ankle, the stranger's teeth sinking deeper in her skin. Everett howled in pain when she felt his teeth grinding the tissues of her ankle, ignoring the weakening pain. The girl used her other leg kicking the male in the face as she yanked her feet away from his mouth, some of her skin tore off along with his teeth.

Everett crawled like a toddler, grabbing the knife as she clutches it, she felt the man's nails stabbed her wounded ankle as he pressed his nails deeper in her open wound. Her eye teared up in pain and the girl trembled as she dropped the knife, remembering the gun in her leg, she clumsily took it, cocking it before she glides it in the air, pushing the gun's muzzle inside the male's mouth. A loud bang erupted in the area as her eyes saw the other side through the gaping hole she created in the stranger's mouth.

Her ears ringing as her hands feel the sensation of her bloodied gun. Her trembling hands dropped the body along with her gun as she covers her mouth when she felt the sour substance on her tongue, running away from the corpse. Her shoulder hunched as she vomits, her nose runny as her tears continue to flow like an unending river, suddenly there was a tap on her shoulder.

Everett, no longer being able to keep up, flinched as she fell on her knees. Her body curled up like a snail without care for her surrounding. Alastair pets the girl's hair, before grabbing her up in his arms. Everett's legs wrapped around his torso as her arms rest around his neck, Alastair supported her body by gripping her leg. "If it were to be someone else, you'll be dead by now, love." Without a warning, the male jumped into the sea.
