Chapter 17: I Might Win An Oscar Award!

The moment the maids woke up, Carla couldn't help herself yawn and fell asleep.

When she woke up, it was already night time and the guests had already left.

Leila told her that Carla's cousins also got tired of playing in the forest and left early with her aunt and uncle.

Carla just nodded and went back to sleep again. She couldn't help doing so as she truly felt tired.

Leila only smiled and let her sleep.

....

Two days later...

Carla had been sleeping for a whole two days! As for eating, the couple gave her milk in her sleep. As for pooping and peeing, they changed her diaper night and day.

Her parents were worried about her and called for a pediatrician doctor to check on her.

However, the doctor didn't see anything wrong with her and thought it must be either she was growing up or exhausted.

Leila immediately asked the maids what were Carla and her cousins played with to make her exhausted

like this.

The maids shook their heads and answered her, there was nothing unusual as they were playing as kids should be.

Just as Leila feels hopeless, a maid suddenly remembered something.

"Madam, when Young Miss Carla and her cousins played, we heard her saying something that shocked us all." A maid in her younger twenties said.

Leila abruptly asked, "What is it?"

The maid tried her best to explain in detail about Carla knew math and gave Leila evidence that the three maids at that time, including her, could testify.

Even though Carla speaks a little gibberish, the maids could understand her words prior to attending to her most of the time.

Leila was stunned to hear what happened and her attention went to it than her question. 'Carla is just a one-year-old! I haven't taught her anything yet as I want her to enjoy it!'

Leila panicked, Carla was her first child, it was a little hard for her to take care of a child without not much knowledge about kids and only relying on online teaching.

What more, taking care of a genius?

Leila was on the verge of panic, she would rather do a lot of paperwork than manage the house.

However, Carla is her daughter, even if her heart filled with worries, she must do everything she can to help her daughter and understand her.

Leila told them to leave and observe Carla for now, if Carla does or say something unusual for her age, she told them to tell her immediately.

When the maids left, Leila looked at the sleeping Carla in deep thoughts.

She browses what should she do about her genius child and what could the effects on it.

Leila wanted her daughter to enjoy her childhood days instead of forcing her daughter to do well at studying.

When Leila got into college before, issues about students' suicide because their parents drove them to study so hard. It was a pretty hot topic at that time and even now.

Leila also knew people do that, personally seen it. She was scared that the same thing could happen to her child.

That's why, as much as she could, she wanted Carla to enjoy her childhood and never force her to do something she didn't want.

She wanted Carla to choose her path and help her decide that Carla won't regret it.

She was honestly felt proud that her first child is a genius but felt scared at the same time.

Leila didn't know if she would do well to guide her daughter in a path they both won't regret.

However, Carla right now was still a toddler. The decision should be put on Leila for now.

Hence, she researched everything she could find while taking care of the sleeping Carla.

Claude was busy at his own office that he fell asleep at his desk. Normally, if this happens, Leila would come knocking and wake him up or at least put a blanket on him.

However, at this time, Leila was busy being a mother and forgotten her role as a wife.

It was already dawn when Leila finished her 'self-study' about what to do with Carla.

She thought it's best to watch over Carla diligently and let her go to school at the right age.

She didn't want her child to study seriously early, she wanted to let her play with someone the same age as her. Daycare was one.

As for Carla being a genius, Leila wanted to guide and teach her child with it.

For now, it is best to let Carla interacts with others and enjoy it.

Leila fell asleep with a laptop on while thinking about what's best for her daughter.

....

When Carla woke up, she saw her mother sleeping while drooling at the laptop mouse.

She was hungry but didn't want to disturb her mother who looked like someone who didn't sleep for ages.

Lucy ate her without giving her a warning.

Carla was startled. When she got inside her space, she let Gwen explained why Lucy ate her out of nowhere.

Gwen told her about what happened to the last three days she slept straight.

Carla was speechless. She slept for a whole three days!

And not only that, the whole mansion now thought she was a freaking genius when it was certainly an age cheat!

She facepalms, "What the heck am I thinking?! I freaking forgot I am a baby! Damn it!"

She sighed and controlled her emotions, "Lucy, whenever I do or say something that doesn't seem right for my age, warn me, please!" She asked in her mind while Lucy was outside.

For now, she must pretend to not know anything in front of others and act like a real baby!

Gwen also told her that Leila had been all night thinking what to do with her.

Carla felt heartache for her mother. She wanted her mother to feel at ease and enjoy their life, this time.

Though, her main goal is to escape in this shitty mansion with her mother and brother.

So, to that happen, she must wait for her brother to be reborn. And Alicia.

She must endure watching her mother fight with Annalisa when that time comes. And break her parents' relationship.

Claude doesn't deserve her mother.

However, right now, the one that made her mother worried, was her!

"I really must do my best to act my age! I must act very well! Maybe that way, I might win an Oscar Award!"

Carla was determined to do so.

She went out of her space and went to watch her mother on the floor. She wanted to give her mother a blanket, however, it would make things worse.

She told Lucy to make sure her mother won't feel cold and feel ache on her body. This 'miracle' is the only thing she could do for now to not let anything suspicious.
