Chapter 41: Let's Have A Date!
"Pft," Carla chuckled by the dumbfounded face Kai made, "Were you surprise Kai? See, magic is real." She winked at him.
"These are my enchantrix butterfly, they... " She told him about them while they walked inside the secret passageway, about their abilities, how they met Carla, but of course she didn't say about the Enchantress.
She explained everything to her except about the Enchantress. She doesn't know why but she knew she could trust him with all her life. Even though he is still just a toddler. "That's why you take care of Charlotte for me alright?"
Charlotte emerged from Kai's body which his mind still couldn't process. Still, he let him sit on his head, 'Is this what they were talking about?' He sighed and accepted everything slowly, at least this way, their survival was higher than before.
He was also stunned as she told him about these secret passageways. It amazed him. He was speechless.
The reason why Kai didn't know about the butterflies was that he hadn't seen them much. When he was a month old, he still couldn't see very well due to his eyes still progressing.
When his eyes could see clearly and could see from far, the butterflies were already busy roaming around for the information.
Carla showed Kai around the passageway while they were testing Aqua's ability. However, Kai is still an infant, he soon fell asleep because of tiredness. Charlotte became a stroller for him and carried him while Carla continued the stroll with him being asleep.

It's been a few days since Carla showed Kai the truth about her. He didn't tell anyone and instead, feigned ignorance when with others but tries to help her when it is just the two of them.
Kai still can't speak very well, thus, he didn't tell her his secret yet. Just like how she shared with him hers, he wanted to do the same. But not now. Not until he can speak properly or at least mostly.
Right now, their cousin taught Kai and Alicia speaking, but only Kai did it seriously while Alicia wanted to play only.
Ike and Irene chuckled as just like his sister, Kai also trying his best to learn. Hence, Ike teaches him what he could while Irene played with Alicia. Carla from time to time helped them and assist them.
They were busy with each other's company that they hadn't noticed the time. Aunt Rosella was fetching them and the twins said goodbyes to them. Carla did the same vice versa.
Carla prepared Kai for dinnertime later on while Annalisa washed up Alicia for the same reason.
When it was dinnertime, Claude and Leila were present. It was the same as every night except an announcement ruined Carla and Kai's mood.
"Dear, since Kai is old enough for the bottle and since you did great taking care of him, your father suggested I should move back to our room. Who knows, you might have another sibling." Leila told Carla in front of them.
Annalisa didn't react and only glanced at Claude who glanced back. While Carla was stunned as she forgot about this. She needs to move fast!
On the other hand, Kai wailed, "Uwaah!! Nyah!!" Carla tried to hushed him and comfort him, but failed. Seeing them like this, Leila felt heartache and at the same time warm. Her kids love her so much.
Claude felt a sting in his heart, seeing his two children love their mother and mostly ignores him. Still, it didn't matter, since Alicia thought of him as her father and was filial to him.
Leila stood up and carried Kai, "Alright, I won't go back now. Maybe next week..."
Carla smirked and gave Kai a thumbs up secretly indicating that he did a good job strolling time.
She had been with Kai the moment he was born, he seems sensible and she could talk to him like he is the same age as her or more than that.
She also knew how Kai knows how to read the moment somehow, just like now, he used his infant side to stroll time. She was also grateful for how Kai always followed her like a duckling and obeyed every word she asks.
She also senses how protective Kai could be towards her from time to time. It made her feel guilty about why she didn't notice this before in her past life? Why she didn't take care of him? She regrets it so badly she didn't want to do the same thing again this time.
She'll protect him with all her life, she'll give him all the love he deserved, all the love she didn't give to him before.
After dinner, they went straight back to their room with Leila to coax Kai leaving the family of three, Claude, Annalisa, and Alicia alone in the dining area.
When Leila taking a half bath in the bathtub with her two children, Carla abruptly suggested, "Mom, let's have a date, the three of us sometimes."
Leila smiled sweetly and asked, "A date? You mean bonding together? Sure! I'll tell you when and I'll organize it for you."
Carla shook her head, "I had a plan, I wanted to surprise you about a place. How about I'll organize and you set a time? Please, mom?" She blinked and begged her mom and Kai did the same.
Leila couldn't help laughing at how cuteness the two are, "Alrighty, I'll do that." She continued washing them and felt so excited. She'll definitely give time for her two angels, the faster the better, she really is excited!
Yes, the faster, the better.
"But mom, I only want three of us, okay?" Carla added soap to her body.
Leila was confused but still agreed. Either way, she just can't wait for it!
Little did she know that excitement will fade away once she sees it. She didn't know yet that it would change her life.

The date means to meet up, meeting, not only couples can do that but also in business for business purposes or family bonding. Whether two or more people were there, it can still be considered as a date.
