"Your father is a chicken." Leila blurted out when she got home after the event. Her children were already in bed when she went back to the room to sleep. However, Carla was still awake reading a book.


"Pft," Carla laughed when she heard her mother's remarked, she closed the book and stared at her, "Why so?"


"Sigh," Leila closed the door and started to undress, "He kept trembling from the moment we left the house until the event was over. Not only that but out of nowhere, he asked me to work at his company... Officially." She rolled her eyes.


"Ohh, isn't that good news? Wasn't that your goal?" Carla stood up and stretched her body before going to the bed.


"Yeah, so I accepted it. I was planning to pressure him at home but I didn't know he got pressured already just by that! Huh!" Leila scoffed. "By the way, it's already 11 pm, my dear, why are you still awake?"
