She Exists

"I Do not Understand.." I gaze back, Searching for Answers in the molten Rivers of his eyes. "You Pledge your Life, yet I cause you Deep diress."

A dark shadow flits across his Gorgeous face.

"Why?"

Xave leans back casually in his chair. "Forgive me, your Majesty. I Allowed my Emotions to Reign. I was blind."

"You have not Answered my Question, Xave." I calmly reply.

"Fate is a Choice. It is not for me to Decide."

I ponder this riddle for a Moment before continuing. "Xavier." I pause to ensure his full Attention. His Thoughts return to mine. "Why have you come?"

"To Change The Path." He firmly replies. Leaving no room for further Question, Xave continues. "Now. Let us Discuss what I have Gathered."

I nod, finally filling a plate with meats, breads and cheeses, and a small sampling of fruits as a side. My mouth waters. Xavier watches me in Approval as I take my first bite. He walks me through his Happenings, while I eat.

"Your Guard was minimal." He began. "It is Child's play to carelessly slip by." I Listened while I chewed. The meats absolutely Divine. Xave continues. "They seemed to be looking for something, perhaps one of these?" He flashes a ring, capturing my full Attention. I swallow and hold out my hand.

Xavier gently places it in the center of my palm. I hold it close for inspection. "This antique relic bears a Crest." I half-say to my Self. He nods.

"Yes."

"I am unfamiliar with this Legiance. It is an Impressive Crest - one that Appears to Belong to a HIGHLY Structured RULE, yet..." I Allow my Self to Process The Thought, slowly Rising - moving closer to the fire. I stare into the flames as they lap at each burning log. "I wonder..." I Study the ring, turning it over in my palm. "Do you Think.. No. Surely not.. But perhaps.." I trail off, lost entirely in a swirl of Thoughts. I turn around, facing Xavier who has been Watching me carefully. Behind his gold-flecked eyes, there is Calculated movement. "What do YOU Think, Xavier?"

"I have Seen this Ensignia before. The Crest Belongs to The KING." He Answers.

"The KING of?" I Inquire.

"ALL Things."

I raise an eyebrow inquisitively. "ALL Things." I repeat quietly. "What more do you Know of this KING?"

"The DOM Originates upon The Eastern Shores."

"And are The People FREE?" I Ask.

"Yes. They Follow Him into battle."

"A LEADER." I presume.

"Yes."

"I See.." I pause to Think, and continue. "I would like to Meet Him."

Xavier cocks an eyebrow in complete Surprise. "I Do not Believe that is the typical Answer when Discussing this KING. He is a monster."

I am Intrigued. "How could ONE with such unwavering Authority BE HEARTless? It is not Possible."

"Finding these relics is not a GOOD Omen."

"Perhaps." I Think to my Self Considerately. "Where most would fear death, I See Opportunity. A KING with HONOR surely would not resist the Potential of a Successful Conversation."

"There is no Record of there ever having Been."

"Hmm.. then WHY the warning? WHY not simply attack? There must be a METHOD to His madness."

Xavier frowns. "My QUEEN. Do you make it a Habit of Playing with Fire?"

"ALL Elements Serve their Purpose, Xavier. It is our DUTY to Learn to RESPECT each. We cannot contain them. We are The Students, not The Teacher. My ROLE is simply to Follow The UNIVERSE."

"Wherever GOD may LEAD." Xave interjected.

I Take a Deep Breath. "I am Impressed, Xavier. I have only Spoken with one Other WHO is a TRUE Follower. Do you Believe?"

"I have my Moments." He throws a half-smile.

"Interesting.. pass me the cheese?" Xavier reaches over to my plate, folding and securing the perfect slice skillfully. He holds the utensil sensually, expecting me to bite.

"I am not a Child, Xavier." His eyes begin to melt, the flames within my SOUL reignite. "What else have you come to Learn?" I continue in an effort to divert the Rising Temperature within the room. Xave sets the fork down.

"There is nothing else." A shiver runs down my spine. Why do I get the Sense that Xavier is not telling the Truth?

"That is incorrect. I will not Ask you again."

He gives a sly smile. "GOOD. You are Intelligent."

I waited Patiently for further continuation of our Conversation. "Is he Testing me?" I Think to my Self. I arch my brow. Xavier Rises, closing the gap between us. He places his hand behind my neck, pulling my face Upwards to meet his gaze.

"Your Majesty. Your men are cowards. They are planning to run." Anger flashes before his eyes.

"They are afraid of this KING of The Eastern Shores?"

"Worse." His eyes storm, forcing himself to press on. "They will not lay down their Life for a Woman. They Believe your QUEENDOM would be Better Suited for a King."

I am not shocked. I gaze calmly into his eyes.

"Do you Desire more?" He Challenges, a glimpse of pain fills his Voice. "Your Council has Arranged an Alignment with The Northern Kingdom."

"An Arranged Marriage with my first-born Child."

"An Arranged Marriage with the king's first-born daughter."

"He wants my QUEENDOM as his. A common occurrence." I am apathetic.

"Yes, Será. He wants your QUEENDOM. However, your Bloodline is of no use to his. The king's first-born daughter already exists."
