It's About Them

Dimtri led Meenakshi to another seating room of his. It had two couches to sit on. He decided that it's better if Meenakshi sat and talked because she won't be able to stand for long. Meenakshi settled in her couch and Dimtri took the one across her and crossed his legs. 

She stared at him, trying to find something in his stone cold face. Maybe a piece of regret? But she found nothing. Literally, nothing! So she decided to ask. "Why?" 

Dimitri understood what she was talking about by now, since Sakshi was gone for almost half an hour. He didn't regret what he did out there. It was what he considered necessary. He parted his lips to speak. "It was the only way to make her understand to stay away from me." 

"But why?" She blinked her eyes. "That girl did so much for y—"
