[Bonus chapter]

The sound of heels clicking on the marble tiles resonated through the large but empty room. A few steps later they stopped and Mirzya turned to look at a woman wearing a black evening gown with a long slit at the left standing in front of him. He never understood why she had to expose her skinny legs to the world. From the culture he was born in, women showing too much skin was considered a crime. Ironic to his lifestyle, included.

Urvashi's hazel eyes slid down to the book her husband was holding and she sighed. "You are only going to damage your eyes more. Don't complain later when you get specs." She strode to the side of the table and took a seat.

Mirzya smirked. "I think specs wouldn't look that bad on me. But…" he looked back at the prose which he was reading and flipped the page. The chapter had been to an end. The hero was about to die in the next chapter. Or that was how he contemplated.
