Work of master and apprentice

The metal landed on the anvil, the meteor that's been heated until it became yellow or almost white. A very good color for forming since it's between melted and hard. More to the melty side but that just makes it easier to work with. I was holding it with pincers while he started pounding the raw material with his hammer. The strikes were much more powerful than those from before. The whole floor was shaking with each pummeling strike. I almost fell, my hands went numb much earlier than before. It might be exhaustion or his strikes are so powerful that the entire numbness appeared earlier. Both are possible but which one is the true one, I don't know. He was constantly telling me to turn the metal around for the twenty or so minutes that it took for us to turn the metal into what we needed. We also reheated it several times when the color changed and the metal became harder because of lack of the heat.
