Awkward conversation part 2

The situation changed from a very friendly atmosphere and questions into something else. The air is pretty hard to breathe in, it feels dirty, my lungs don't seem to be okay as well, it's really hard to think straight in a situation like this. Only me and the old man have anything important to say, Lily won't join because of the 'play' she is pulling off and the kid just doesn't seem to cut it. He doesn't have anything important or interesting to add to our conversation. My mind was full of mines, bombs, if I stepped into them, I might say something that would expose me in any way.
