The Cities

Jackson sat up, feeling a blanket on him. After stretching however, the blanket now occupied the floor.

"Who gave me that?" He wondered, looking around to see if something had changed. Andrew was out of the room.

"So he didn't try to kill me in my sleep? Interesting." Jackson thought, stepping out of bed and changing into new clothing.

He approached the stairs, and at the bottom was Andrew. Andrew turns and goes outside, to which Jackson follows.

Once outside, Jackson can see Amora rolling around in the grass, causing his heartbeat to increase.

"What're you so excited for?" Jackson asked, genuinely interested.

"My parents said we're going to the Saveador City today! I'm excited!" Amora said, still rolling in the wet grass.

"Well, that'll be fun." Jackson replied, smiling and actually feeling happier.

"I want to prove a point to you in the cities, so follow me when I say." Andrew whispers, giving Jackson a dirty glare.

Jackson knew, "Proving a point" meant fighting, but he was ready.

An hour seemed to pass, and Aya had been talking him the whole time.

He felt like he didn't fit in at all. Almost like when he moved schools in Middle School.

As Jackson began thinking about the past, Leon opened the door and invited everyone to go to his car to go to the cities. Everyone began moving.

***

Reyon entered one car, while Leon got in another. Andrew and Amora got into Leon's car, so Jackson decided to go with, but in Reyon's car, with Aya and his father. Anything to avoid "Assdrew" and his problems.

Cody was talking to Reyon about Shirley, finally remembering the IDs and realizing she wasn't with them like Amora and Andrew had been.

"Well... she may be somewhere else. A couple nights ago, Amora showed us a message from Shirley. Turns out, Tavan will be there soon. Well... when someone tells him where she is." Reyon giggles.

"Shit... I forgot to call him, I'll have to do it after I go home."

Aya waved her hand in front of Jackson, and he looked at her. She smiled brightly and asked if he had any social media.

"Well... yeah." Jackson said, when he wanted to just say no.

"Ooh ooooh! Tell me your username!"

He did and she followed him, he followed back. She even said, "Void_Walker? That sounds like a movie!"

To which Jackson said something about her username. "Well, Flowery_Spring is a nice reminder of flowers and spring?" Jackson said, trying his best to come up with a compliment.

As soon as the cars stopped, they all got out and Jackson headed with Andrew to a large alleyway. He knew the fight was coming, but didn't know how soon.

Andrew turned with a quick hook of his right hand, hitting Jackson square in the nose. He stumbled back and his nose began dripping.

"Shit... it's not broken, at least I think so. I need to counterattack him!" Jackson thought, trying to be quick.

"So the coward attacks first?" Jackson said, mocking Andrew, which only angered him more.

Andrew had summoned a paper shard by his wrist to stab Jackson with, during his charge toward Jackson however, Jackson jumped back and then forward again, lifting his foot and kicking Andrew right in the stomach.

Andrew seemed to have lost his breath for a moment, suddenly catching it and kicking Jackson in the chest, causing some blood to come from his mouth.

While falling to the ground, Jackson lifted his fist and uppercut Andrew in the jaw. They both hit the ground at the same time, the only difference was that Andrew was unconscious while Jackson wasn't.

"Whew..." Jackson whispered as he stood up and used his sleeve to wipe away the blood from his lower lip, which seemed to also be busted.

Jackson left Andrew in the alleyway by himself, soon meeting up with Aya, who after telling her and Amora what he had to do to Andrew, they ran to check on him.

"Great." Jackson said sarcastically, walked and accidentally bumping into a man in the street.

He locked eyes with the man and noticed that the man's eyes were a glowing purple color, and despite being in the shadows, the man's eyes illuminated his face.

Upon locking eyes however, he felt nothing but fear for no reason.

"Do you have some extra money on you? I'm a little short." The man said, slowly and calmly.

"Y-yeah, I c-c-can give you a-about 5?" Jackson muttered quietly.

"That's fine."

Jackson handed the man the money while shaking, after avoiding the man's eyes for a small bit, the fear vanished, but any attempts to look into his eyes just brought back the fear.

"That was an Elemental... with an eye element... but he... has bad intentions... I know it." Jackson thought as he realized he had dropped the bag Aya handed to him for him to carry.
