The World Not Told

Amora was asleep and Reyon and Leon had left for the night, the doctors said that tomorrow they would do a test on Amora to see if everything was good. If so, she could go. Amora was thrilled to be able to leave but knew her first action would be to check on Jackson, just to be sure he was okay. Her dream was random but it brought Amora peace.

"Hey? Hello? Are you okay?" Amora looked around and could see she was in a field of some kind. A man was gently looking over her, a kind-meaning wide smile was on the man's face. It calmed Amora, and so she stood up, taking his outstretched hand. He itched the back of his head and said, "Hey... I'm Cole." Amora was confused at first but a slip of paper appeared just as the wind picked up. The grass nearby moved with the wind and the paper calming dipped and dived, up and down, pleasingly, as if it were happy to dance in the wind. It flew upward and gently landed in Amora's hands. She viewed it with great confusion. "A missing poster?" Amora asked, looking down at the page. She lifted it up to block her view of Cole and moved it in and out of the way, seemingly comparing the two people together. To not much surprise, the two people were one. It was the missing poster for Cole Peters. Amora let the page go and Cole was holding his hand out waiting for a handshake. "Ah! I'm sorry I left you hanging." Amora shook Cole's hand and replied, "I'm Amora."

"Somehow... I already knew that." Cole said, with a confused look spread on his face.

"You did?"

"Yeah... it's like I've met you."

"Wait! We have! It was in my room... you were hungry! So I gave you food! I can't remember if I told you my name though. So that's strange."

"Maybe not... I guess maybe I didn't really know your name and I was just confused. Sorry about that." Cole said looking a little mad at himself for wasting time. "Anyway, where are we?" Amora asked, trying to break the silence. He didn't reply for some time. The wind was calming enough for Amora to wait. "Well, obviously a field... but how did we get here? Did someone bring us here?" Amora didn't know the answer so she remained quiet. They both looked behind Cole and saw a tree line. The forest began there and in the forest looked dark and intimidating. Without even stepping, she and Cole were suddenly in the forest, calmly walking toward the other side. "Well this is a bit concerning," Cole said, slightly laughing to himself. "Yeah, we'll probably get swooped up any minute now," Amora said, laughing as well, but still scaring herself with every thought.

Outside of Amora's dream, the hospital door to her room creaked open. The room was dark and it had to have been around two in the morning as the man with purple eyes snuck in and stares at Amora for some amount of time. He proceeded to pull out a sharp blade and aimed it over Amora's chest. He aimed where her heart would be and is going to press down when he suddenly stops just before he could stab her. Another man, wearing a mask is sitting in the corner of the room on a chair. The Masked Man begins talking as the Purple-Eyed Man, stared. However the voice wasn't coming from The Masked Man, no no no... it was coming from the Purple-Eyed Man's head, in The Purple-Eyed Man's mind, he could hear his own voice, saying things to him. His voice said, "Whatever happened to not killing kids? After what you did before... you promised not to, you promised yourself." The Purple-Eyed Man froze in place, only moving once he spotted a Clipboard with Amora's info on it. He looked it over and sighed. "You really saved me there. It sucks that it will take a year before I can kill her, but I can just pick off her friends until then. I heard that the brat child of Tavan's is almost 18." The Purple-Eyed Man declared. The Masked Man continued speaking through the Purple-Eyed Man's mind and thoughts. "Yes, she is, but you shall not hurt her... not like you did in that lab... not like what you did to me." The Purple-Eyed Man began quietly laughing. "Listen... you are just another delusion. I killed you. You are dead." The Purple-Eyed Man began to leave the room as the Masked Man spoke once again in the murderer's head. "Yes, I am dead, but trust me, I am no delusion. You killed me, but I am here. How is that? Who knows? I am the reason why you don't kill children now, is that correct?" The Murderer didn't even stop walking as he replied, "No, you're not."

Amora abruptly woke up, it was around seven in the morning. She yawned and sat up, picking up her phone to text Shirley and ask how they were. Not too long after, the doctors came in and Amora put her phone down. The doctors told her she was ready to go and she waited for her parents to come back. Once they arrived, they took Amora to Jackson's room. Amora spent most of the time thinking of the dream she had while walking. One thought kept crossing her mind, however, and that was, what happened to Cole after he left through the window that night. Before Amora could think anymore about it, she arrived at Jackson's hospital room. Leon and Reyon walked in after Amora and it took a minute for her to process what she was seeing.

Jackson was on the hospital bed, his arms next to him. He was still unconscious and it seemed that they had to remove his shirt to stitch up his wound. Some doctors came inside the room and brought a hospital gown. They put it on him and cut a little section out of the gown so his stitch would be visible at all times. Leon sat down on the other side of the bed and Reyon sat next to the window. Amora looked outside and could see that they were at least ten stories high. She turned when she heard Jackson unconsciously gasped for air. Amora had begun to run over when she was stopped by Leon. "It's okay... he's okay... it's just something he does... they said it's from the smoke inhalation. They have yet to fix that, you'd expect to do that ASAP, but who knows..." Leon looked away and picked up his phone. He dialed a number and put the phone up to his ear. He began talking but Amora was too focused on the wound he had. The cut was long and seemingly deep, as it was said before, it's a miracle that he was alive. Amora held her tears back and messaged Aya. She replied almost immediately asking if Amora was okay.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Jackson is too. I think. He is doing okay right now, but I don't think you guys should come here, it's way too... emotional." Aya replied after a few seconds saying, "I know... they won't let me in there for some reason, it may be because Jackson is now the owner of Hexcorp... they don't want him harmed anymore." Amora replied that it makes sense. Aya stopped replying and Amora looked at her other messages. She saw that Shirley had left a message.

"Hey... we were fine, my father picked me up and had an argument with your parents. He blamed them for this all. Aya locked herself in a room and Andrew was constantly worrying about you." Amora had more worries now, Andrew was worried about her and it made her feel bad. Aya was suffering and so she hoped that Jackson would be okay soon, just so Aya would be okay.

Amora walked up to Reyon and asked "Does the news know about Cody's death?" Reyon shook her head and said, "No... Hexcorp is trying to keep it from the people. The world. It's because many Elementals were helped by Hexcorp, so if they were to find out that Cody was dead, they would panic and we would have problems."

Minutes passed, and Leon and Reyon had to leave, they took Amora with them and headed home. Amora was anxious. She would have to talk to Aya and Andrew... she was nervous... everyone would be... it was... scary... the world didn't know about a killer on the loose... and nobody could stop them yet...
