Family Reunion Fight

Kori stepped back in shock. Shogeki and Cole were brothers. It didn't make sense at all to her. They never mentioned it, and Cole seemed surprised at Shogeki's words.

"So you really have forgotten the past. Just like I thought." He said, sighing a fake sad sigh. "Such a shame, I'll have to kill the remaining family member I have left." He said, spinning the blade in his hand.

"You won't be doing much other than dying." Cole spoke, pushing Kori back. "Leave. Go. Find Leon. Now." He said, to which Kori sprouted up and pulled the door open quickly, leaving and running through the streets and alleyways. She felt her eyes begin to water. This was all her fault. What if Cole ended up dead? Amora would never forgive her. Amora would hate her.

She rushed through the streets until she saw a car driving down the street slowly, in the passenger seat she could see Reyon, and in the driver seat, Leon. She rushed in front of the car and began waving her arms in the headlights, hoping it wasn't too dark to see her.

They slowed down to a stop and Leon opened his door, it made a creaking noise and he peeked his head out. She could not see his face because she was being blinded by the headlights.

"What are you doing?!" He asked, motioning for her to move out of the way.

"Cole! Shogeki! Help us! He's going to kill Cole!" She begged, tears streaming down her face. This time, they believed her fully.

Their blades continued clashing, every once in a while, there would be a slice on each of them, blood leaking from their arms, legs, chests. It was a back and forth battle, the odds of winning continuing to shift.

Cole bent his back and felt it crack, suddenly paper filled the room, flowing from his back like blood. It shot all over and pushed on the warehouse walls, breaking them and sending the warehouse away.

They were now in the open, and Cole could freely fly his own way.

"So you've gotten the upper hand, haven't you?" Shogeki smirked, throwing knives toward Cole. He could barely dodge them as he sent out paper knives back at Shogeki.

"You... you won't hurt Amora. Ever again." He said, speeding at Shogeki and landing a punch across his face, sending him hurdling backward and hitting a railing near a drop to the water below. The wide ocean.

Cole floated idly by, waiting for Shogeki to stand up. He knew attacking Shogeki now would be playing into his trap. Shogeki would just act hurt and then strike Cole fatally. How Cole knew this... was beyond him.

"Shogeki. I am, and never was, related to you." He said. "I have no recollection of you at all." He continued, wiping blood of his cheek.

"You... lie." Shogeki said, seemingly getting angry.

"Bingo." Cole thought, realizing that denying Shogeki's statements would make him angry. Shogeki stood up, no longer pretending to be hurt, and lunged at Cole in the sky. Cole and Shogeki stumbled around in the sky, as they held onto each other. Shogeki kept going for punches as Cole kept trying to push him off.

Shogeki won the sky ordeal by pulling off one of Cole's wings, loosening his balance and causing him to fall to the ground, where Shogeki kicked him repeatedly.

Cole felt his vision blur, his mouth bleed, his stomach ache. He could hear his blood pooling and pumping.

A car pulled up to the outside of where the warehouse once was, and Shogeki looked up.

"Looks like play time is over for now. I'll be sure to kill you next time." He said, taking off in the opposite direction, despite Cole trying to reach for him to stop him.

Amora rushed in first, despite Leon and Reyon's desperate pleas.

"Cole!" She screamed, hoping he wasn't dead. She lifted him onto her lap and checked on him. She breathed a sigh of relief and asked the dreaded question. "Was... it him?"

Cole only nodded and apologized.

Amora felt sick to her stomach. So he was back... and he was trying to kill them again. Kori didn't lie. He never left. Shogeki never left. He only waited.
