[London Bridge is falling...falling...falling...London Bridge is falling...my fair lady...]
Evelyn hears someone singing and opens her eyes in motion as she blinks three times to clear her vision.
"Are you awake?" A girl's voice asked while caressing her head.
"I-Isa?" She utters with a dry and weak tone of voice. She tries to sit up, but Isa stops her.
"Lay down and rest, okay?" Isa smile at her, continue caressing her head to comfort her,
"How come you're here?"
"Because you never come to meet me, tonight I get worried and ask your neighbors about you," Evelyn nods, understand Isa.
"I see," She answers with a weak voice,
"How do you feel right now?"
"I feel drained. I don't have the energy,"
"You will be all right. I brought someone with me," Isa smiled at her and, get something beside her.
"Barry?" Evelyn smiled, happy upon seeing Barry with Isa.
"Surprised," Isa mentions,
"Thank you, Isa..." She thanked her very much appreciated as her strength came back to her,
"Your welcome,"
"How do you get Barry?"
"Oh, I saw this bad boy outside your window staring at nothing and thought I bring her with me to visit you,"
"I see, thank you..." Isa nod smiling,
"No problem, I got to go now. I see you tomorrow,"
"Okay, get home safe. Thank you for coming, Isa,"
"I will, you take care of yourself," Isa responds, then leave,
"Eve?"
"Brother, you're here," Isa answer as he went over to her sister and hugs, her tight to relief.
"Oh god... thank god for your awake, how are you feeling?" John broke the hug and, sit beside her sister's hospital bed with Barry.
"A little foggy and exhausted, but I'm fine. Where is daddy?" John couldn't answer,
"..."
"What is it, brother?"
"Um... is nothing. Dad went home to get you some stuff. He will be back later. Are you hungry?" John asks, and Evelyn nods.
"Here, I brought this down the store just now for you. A warm chicken soup," John handed it over to her sister as he put away the cover on it and served it to her.
"Thank you brother, what about you?" Evelyn asked, concern.
"Ah, I already eat breakfast,"
"What about your work?"
"Oh, I take leave, for now, you're more important,"
"Je, what a joke, I don't believe it," Evelyn loud reply, mocking her brother's words, and John went silent.
"I..."
"Sorry, I'm still not well. So I said things I didn't mean. Just ignore it, brother," Evelyn feels uncomfortable. She never opens up her authentic emotion towards her brother before.
"No, I... your right. I'm an irresponsible brother. I always said that I will always stay beside you and be there for you whenever you want me to, but I didn't..." John realized something,
"So is true ha, people around you only realize what they wrong, only when you're dying, Haha how funny," Evelyn responds, bursting out all the emotions she had been keeping for so long.
"..." John doesn't know what to reply. Evelyn cry in front of him, and he looks at her feel guilt and regret.
"*sobs* Is my fault. I never complain about anything. I keep quiet because I don't want to become a burden and cause any problem. But hard sometimes is hard keeping it to myself..." Evelyn breaks down. John hugs his sister as tears also fall to his face.
"I'm sorry..." He apologies, hugging his sister tight.
"You know, brother, you are lucky...*sobs* want to know what I've felt since I was born? Tell now?" Evelyn, cry out, keep talking with a shaky voice.
To be continued.
