Something Different

Yang Mi ruthlessly said, "Yes. I need to do something. If you have something, say it later." She turned around, "Leave now before I change my mind and chase you away for wasting my time."

By this time, Kaisar must be taking off his clothes. Yang Mi smiled at the thought. She needs to see the strip show now. Yang Mi walked away but the two simultaneously stopped her.

"Miss, wait!" The two said at the same time.

"This matter can't wait!" Yang Mi pursed her lips into a thin line and turned to glare at them. Her voice rendered them immobile. The pressure almost shook the entire building and made the two ghosts wish that they didn't have to do this.

However, she was surprised when she turned around to see the two ghosts kneeling with an expression of urgency. With their faces veiled with worries and fear, Yang Mi knew that she couldn't go back and admire her man's body as he bathed because of these two.

As much as she wanted to come back inside, she couldn't ignore that two of the resident ghosts were kneeling in front of her, begging her to spare them a little bit of her time.

The concern in their faces was hard to ignore especially after she made them stay for some reasons.

Sighing, Yang Mi decided to know what was so urgent that made two of her ghosts come to see her.

Putting her hands on her hips, she tilted her head. "Well, what do you have for me?"

Looking down at their kneeling figure, Yang Mi swears that if it was not as urgent as they said, she's going to get these two rid off even if they were useful to her at this moment.

After Kaisar finished taking a bath, it took him almost an hour because he didn't want to face the female ghost. He wiped off the water on his body and wrapped himself with a towel.

Feeling somewhat strange, he looked around his large bathroom and found no hints of a certain female ghost perversely watching him take a bath.

Usually, he would see her leaning on the wall or floating in the air with her eyes tracing down his body. But it seems that tonight was different as she stayed out of the bathroom.

Kaisar stepped out of the bathroom and went to his closet to change. However, even when at the start until the end of the process of changing clothes, the female ghost didn't appear to watch him change or tried to use her hands to caress him.

And when he went out to the living room, he found her silently sitting on the couch as if she was deeply thinking about something.

This was a new sight for Kaisar. A weird one but he still accepted the rare peace that was presented to him. Better treasure it and be thankful rather than complain about it.

Walking around the living room, he reached the kitchen and took a bottle of water before returning to the living room.

Yang Mi watched him take a seat on the couch not far but not too close to where she sat.

On top of the coffee table, papers stacked upon papers. These were the documents that he had been working on for days.

Even for a ghost like her, Yang Mi could read and understand what these papers are for. It was the data concerning a crime scene that happened not too long ago in city A.

A serial killer seemed to be on the loose in the city, targeting younger women and stabbing them in the chest with a kitchen knife.

A simple investigation could probably hint where and who was this serial killer. But even after a week of investigation, the lower department still hasn't found the suspect hence, they threw the case to Kaisar.

Feeling uninterested, Yang Mi strode to the floor to ceiling windows of Kaisar's penthouse. The colorful lights from the other buildings and cars in front of her looked like tiny stars twinkling in the night.

She pressed a hand on the glass and this time, she didn't pass through it. Her hand touched the cool and smooth surface of the glass. Looking at the man in the reflective glass windows, Yang Mi frowned and couldn't comprehend why can't she use her energy to touch him?

It was not like she hadn't tried nor was she incapable of doing so to others. But when it came to this man, even a thousand year old ghost like her couldn't do anything to him. Maybe that was the reason why she was too invested in him.

A sigh escaped her mouth as she went back to her seat. A shadow clouded her face as she thought of what the two ghosts downstairs told her. It seems that she had to take a trip outside tonight.

On her side, Kaisar silently read the file in his hand, keeping a neutral face as he ignored the female ghost seating beside him. He had better things to do other than keep an eye on a ghost.

Despite telling himself to not get concerned with her, it seemed quite hard for him to not think so when Yang Mi continued to stay quiet and her usual naughtiness was gone.

He was slightly bothered with this sudden change and kept on shifting on the couch.

When he couldn't take it any longer, he wondered if he could turn on the TV and put it on her favorite prime-time show, a strange thing he noticed from her and took note of.

It was a show about a girl falling prey to her step-sisters scheme and achieving her revenge at the end. The show received a lot of praise but Kaisar didn't see the reason why it was such a hit.

But then, just as he was about to reach for the remote control, his phone chimed in his bedroom and he had to go back there and answer it.

"Hello?"

As Kaisar's attention was on the conversation he had with a colleague, he didn't notice that the page he was reading on the file flew to the ground and the female ghost sitting on the couch disappeared silently and into the night.
