THAT COMFORT BETWEEN HIS ARMS

Snip, snap, swoosh.

It was just the relaxing, sputtering sound and the roaring blaze of a possible bonfire somewhere that brought me back to my consciousness. The air was far warmer than where I am and my eyes weren't that eager to open yet. It still felt so heavy and felt so tired.

But my memories were starting to come back just before I could even open my eyes.

I had been travelling by foot to see York and no wonder why my feet were tired and my entire body seemed to hurt. But then, I should be able to move my body and open my eyes right now. I am conscious, yet I felt incapable.

'Damn it, what happened to me?' I thought, and a sudden fear started to envelop my consciousness. I remembered someone covered my mouth and nose with some clothes that had a very strong smell. There must be something on that cloth that was making me weaker than usual. It was unnatural.
