"Because..." I said in anticipation for her reply. I almost got a reply from her but got ruined when we heard footsteps and a classmate walked in.

It was so nerve racking and I so felt like taking revenge for ruining our conversation.

I turned to see who the person was and to my uttermost surprise, it was Lyn! It felt like it was the best moment to clear out everything but something gave me the urge to leave them alone to talk.

"I'll leave you guys to talk" I said as I went towards the classroom door. I was about to step out when I felt something holding me back. I turned back and I saw tears rolling down Evelyn's cheeks. She shivered and it looked like she was very scared, an expression I wouldn't make even if I saw a ghost. I didn't take a second to think before I went closer to her and hugged her. She held onto me and felt my warmth.
