Chapter: Defend it, Hades!

Following the orders of Minerva, Vesta slowly approached Hades. He stood at the exit of the base, looking up at the stars with a cigarette perched against his lips. The area was lonely and secluded. It was almost as if he purposely chose the spot to be alone.

"I thought cigarettes were bad for the brain. I didn't expect an Apocrypha to be using one," exclaimed Vesta as she approached him.

Hades calmly let out a cloud of smoke as he turned to face her. The moonlight above quickly began illustrating his facial features, revealing that he had taken a human form— the body of Jeffrey.

"With everything that's going on, can you blame me? Right now, I feel like a failure..." Replied Hades.

"A stress reliever, huh..? Don't we all need that..."

"If only things could go back to the way they were... No, even better than they were back then..."
