Chapter: Persuading Zane

Zane sat calmly on his throne alone in the royal chambers— King Jupiter sleeping in his subconsciousness awaiting his next orders. Zane had spent the last few hours contemplating if he had made the correct choice. Kronos, the previous king of the Apocrypha had confronted him with the choice of partnering with him.

However, Zane wasn't foolish enough to trust Kronos. Despite how much of a victim Kronos had made himself to be, Zane's intuition warned him of danger. Zane believed that Kronos genuinely wished to help him, but there was something devious that the previous king wished to achieve.

Nevertheless, Zane had not rejected Kronos' help. This was a battle of manipulation. Zane could use Kronos to do whatever he wanted until he decided he no longer needed his help. As long as he kept his guard up and ensured he kept a close eye on Kronos, Zane could have things go his way.
