Chapter 16 Marriage Intention

*Start of Flashback*

Nathaniel looked at the woman in his arms. He watched the rise and fall of the duvet covering her as her breathing moved it up and down. She was beautiful. He felt so many emotions when he looked at her. He knew he was lucky to feel the depth of emotion he felt. He would do whatever it took to keep her safe, always.

He knew that it might be uncomfortable at times for her but he finally understood why his father and brother had accepted their last missions. He would do the same for the woman in his arms. He looked around the cabin. They would be leaving soon and he would cherish the memories made here for the rest of his life.

She loved him. He wanted to marry her so that he could show her how much he loved her every day in every way. He knew that when he handed his badge in he would spend the rest of his days making her happy. This case might take a while but he was willing to bear through it and truly have it be over.

At least she knew now that he loved her and that once this was all over she would be his top priority. Nothing short of a small disaster would change that. They would be going to visit their parents separately. Things were in an awkward place for him. While she helped him maintain his cover he didn't want her getting caught between him and the people he was pursuing.

It was a very fine line he was riding and he had to be careful. Tennyson wanted to move in on the ring but was waiting for Nathan's signal that would ensure they had all the evidence they needed to shut it down for good. Grinning he thought how happy his mother would be to hear that he was "finally" settling down.

She stirred and turned towards him. She snuggled closer and put a hand on his chest. The contented sigh from her winded him. This was exactly what he wanted to wake up to every morning for the rest of his life. Her leg slid between his and he bit his lower lip. Another cold shower would be in order today. He felt the need to shift.

She opened her eyes and ducked her head under the covers when she realized he was looking at her. "Why are you looking at me like that?" She peeked at him with only her eyes showing from the duvet.

"The wolf in me wants to ravage you."

"I thought you said you were okay with us not doing anything?"

"I am. That doesn't mean I don't want to pin you beneath me while I nibble and let my tongue discover what makes you breathless. Given a milli-chance, I would explore your body with everything I have." He looked at her intently so she knew he was telling the truth. He felt the change in her body temperature before the effect his words had on her were reflected in the scent of her turned-on body.

Both hit him hard. He took a deep breath. Curses, all that did was turn him on even more.

"But, when my daughter asks if I waited until you were ready or until you were mine in all senses of the word I want to be able to show her that I adored you from the moment I laid eyes on you until your last breath. And part of that is to wait until you are mine in all senses of the word. So, I will wait; even if it's uncomfortable.

"But I don't plan on waiting long. I will possess every millimeter of you until I know your entire body off by heart and what every sigh and moan means. When that happens my love, no demon from hell could stop me."

*End of Flashback*

Nathaniel Woodcombe woke up and turned to the other side of the bed. It was empty. It was a memory playing back like a dream. He missed her to the point where parts of him felt hollow almost all the time. He wasn't sure if he'd ever get her back now.

Ron ran from the building and to his car which was parked near the front entrance of Titania Holdings' larger office building. He had to be home in two hours and he had no time to waste. The boy would be moving in the day after tomorrow and he couldn't be seen to be slacking on his guardianship role, after all, it was an extra zero in his paycheck.

Thoko still didn't know about that and he intended to keep it that way. If she knew she would refuse to give him half her salary and that would be detrimental. Minutes later he slipped into the four-star hotel and headed straight for the lift.

He rapped on the right door at the exact time as agreed. He smiled as he caught a glimpse of what he'd waited all day for. This was his haven.

"Hesi Mudiwa!" He hugged and kissed the petite woman who opened the door. Exactly an hour and a half later he and the woman walked out hand in hand as she walked him to his car. He heard his name being called as he headed towards his car.

His head snapped around, to his relief it was only the boy. He introduced the woman who he had his arm around as his sister. He gave her a peck on the cheek as he ushered the boy into his car.

"Your sister is hot!" Billy said grinning at him. Ron frowned and grunted in acknowledgment. Billy sensed the change in his guardian and quickly changed the topic to the trip to Boston later on that week.

Ron's handsome face lost the almost sneer it had taken on and he locked the doors of the car before shifting the gear into drive. Ron wondered how much the boy had seen. He didn't want Thoko to know that Precious was around.

He glanced to his right to see if the boy was curious. Billy had his headphones on and eyes closed. Ronald breathed out in relief and turned his full attention on driving them back home to pack for the Boston trip.

It was going to be a long trip and he'd be away from his Precious so he had to pack smart. The trip wouldn't be until the end of the next week but everything needed to be perfect. So, as far as Precious was concerned he was away this week.

He'd agreed to pick up the boy from the station. He was a good kid. He liked Will, a lot.

He was like the geniuses you see on TV. He already knew mechanical engineering. For Ron, that made life so much easier. He rarely had to teach the kid anything.

They swiftly got to work on the latest project more as peers than mentor and mentee. There were a few things Will needed help on but not many. The rest of the workday flew by and it was soon time to knock off.

They left the building together and went their separate ways in the parking lot. Due to their arrival time, they parked in different locations. Both being junior had quite a walk to go.

"Yo, Billy, you're going to be living with me n the wife this year. Your granddad thinks you'll be able to focus better if you live at school." Ron called out as Will headed to his car. They were in the maze of the complex parking.

Will froze, 'yes! Yes! Yes!' He wanted to break into dance but that'd look suspicious. He was already packed. 'Thanks, Uncle Miles!' He turned around to face Ron. He frowned. "Really? Are you cool with that? Aren't you two newlyweds?"

Will didn't want to impose. After all, the way Ron described his backward bush wife, the situation, could be extremely awkward. He'd been working with Ron for about a month and a half now and the guy was beyond cool. Women ate out of his hand and he was an engineering genius.

Ron snorted, "Trust me, man. With you, in the house, she might rethink having a baby. I don't have time for that shit. So make sure you are packed up & ready to move in on Sunday."

"Whoa! I need to get movers to get my bed and-,"

Ron laughed. "Forget that shit. My wife is OCD central. All you have to do is bring your books, clothes, and knick-knacks. I got told on Wednesday, the wife is probably putting finishing touches on your room now."

"Today's Friday; doesn't she work? I thought she works at my school."

"She does. We got here over summer break. By the end of the first month, she'd memorized all the faces of the kids in all her classes and had all the lessons, tests, and homework figured out."

Will's heart skipped a beat. 'Uh-oh, that sounded like his princess. Shit!' He'd asked Uncle Miles to get him living on campus, not living with her.
