The camera's light turned on and Drew knew it was his cue to being the show. "Hey there everyone! Drew here with Paranormal is the new Normal!" He said in his normal showman voice. "Tonight, we have found ourselves deep in an abandoned bunker from world war two, on an island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. What horrors await us here? What terrors lurk in the shadows? Legend has it that this island is home to a beast that rips apart anyone who visits. We think the secrets to that beast are found here deep underground."
Drew pointed towards a swastika on the wall and Sam zoomed into it. "What sort of experiments went on here, deep beneath the Earth, far from the prying eyes of mankind." Drew continued. Sam focused the camera back on Drew and he began walking down an unexplored part of the bunker. The door he was heading to was still ajar from the zombies that had exited earlier. Drew squatted down at the broken door handle and presented it to the camera. "What could have transpired here that made them break the door? What could the Nazis have been up to?"
He stood back up and headed inside. Sam followed him, still rolling with the camera. Before him was a long corridor lined with multiple rooms. He walked up to the first room and peeked inside with his flashlight. It was a standard office for one person. A large desk sat in the middle of the room, with file cabinets behind it. In the corner of the room stood an old Nazi flag that had been worn by the ravishes of time. A thick layer of dust and grime coated everything in the room.
"Looks like this was an office," Drew said to the camera, "perhaps this was the base commander's office. Or maybe a research office." He said as he went inside. He scanned the desk and saw a pile of old files laying on top of it. The file on the top of the pile was the most ravaged by time and Drew could not make out any words on it. The next file had the words [Ultimativer Soldat] upon its face. Drew picked the file up and glanced inside. He could not understand the words since he could not speak a word of German, however the pictures attached made it more than clear. This was the folder containing the secrets to the zombies that they had just fought outside moments ago.
Drew motioned to Sam to end filming. Sam did as instructed and lowered her camera. "What's up Drew?" She asked.
Drew handed her the file and she gasped as she looked through the pages, the pictures showed the slow progression of the zombie making process. "I don't think we should air this." Drew said as Sam flipped through the file.
"Is it that bad?" Terry said as he walked up to examine the file himself. He had been standing quietly behind Sam holding a rifle in case a zombie showed up during their show. "Terry does not like Nazis!" He shouted as he saw the pictures. "They made zombies on purpose? Why would you make zombies on purpose?!"
"It was war Terry." Drew said. They were probably just looking for any advantage they could get their hands on. Luckily it was such a success they all died from it and it never left this base. Can you imagine if they had a zombie army in world war two? It would have changed history!"
"It might have been the zombies that did them in." Terry said. "But more likely it was whatever that beast is. Maybe they zombified themselves in an attempt to subdue the monster?"
"That would be interesting." Drew said as he rubbed his chin. "That would mean they feared that beast more than being a zombie. That is a scary thought."
"Well, being ripped apart is no joy ride." Sam said. "Maybe it was the quicker death, or you both could be wrong, and it was just an accident."
"True, there's no way for us to know." Drew said. He continued to go through the files on the desk until he found one with the word [Classified] stamped in red across its front. "Wait is this in English?!" He said in excitement as he opened it. [Report on unknown Nazi base in the Pacific Rim.] The top of the first page read. "It is! They must have stolen this intel report from America! What luck that it was still on the desk!"
"Well, what does it say?" Sam asked.
Drew began to read the file. [Island is part of the Japanese defense against attack. Recommend dealing with anti-air and sea capabilities before passage. As for what the Germans are doing on the island it is unclear. The Nazi branch involved in the paranormal appear to be on the island in great numbers and have created some sort of underground structure. Was unable to explore at this writing. Whatever is going on, I can hear horrifying sounds emanating from the base on a daily basis. I don't know what is going on, but I will continue to report.]
Following those words, a series of pictures from the base's exterior was attached. Drew turned the page and found more writing. [Update on the Nazi research lab, at least I think that is what it is. I saw them bring what appeared to be a person out from the underground in a cage today. He looked, extremely sick. Possible viral or chemical agent. Nazis may be building some sort of super weapon to use on us in the war. I have remained undiscovered so far, my camp is deep within the jungle. I pray that I will be able to escape and bring this intel in.]
"Looks like he was some sort of spy stationed on the island." Drew said as he turned the page again. [I think they may suspect something. I found multiple patrols near my base of operations; I need to evacuate before they find me. I am going to risk sending all of this information through the wire, hopefully, it will not alert them to my presence. I just have to ensure this information makes it home, it is critical.]
"That's the last of it." Drew said. "He must have been caught, that's the only way the Nazis would have his file. Damn, I hope he escaped and got home."
"He was a real hero." Sam said. "Maybe his report is what stopped this from getting out."
"Could have been." Drew agreed. "I just wish he could have had more information on the beast." Drew continued to go through the pile until he reached the last file, a green one with the words [Mann Esser] written on its face.
