Ignorance and Dresses

Its been an entire month since we even sat in the same room other than the dinner table or the living room with the family. He didnt even drive me to school anymore, I took myself to school. I'd leave during breakfast only yelling goodbye, I'd rush out of school after tutoring especially if I saw him.

Today happened to be a sunday actually and the bright side was that he'd be gone, downside was that I'd be stuck with his bratty sister and his mom.

I yawned getting up from the bed and walking to my closet " I'm not in the mood today" I said as the front door opened and slammed shut, voices of loud boys coming closer. I quickly got dressed in some ripped jeans crop top and some black air force ones.

Opening my door, I was greeted by his groups of friends laughing and playing with the Gym set down here.

" hey princess" Hayes and Raymond greeted at the same time, I greeted back With a small wave using two fingers.

" dont talk to the gargoyle you'll catch its ugly" Sean rolled his eyes after speaking. I scoffed " you would know considering you smell like one too" I began to walk off " whatever daddy's girl," he said making me pause.

I turned around " whatd you just say?" I asked making him sit up from lifting the weights " daddy's girl, I mean I'm not wrong am i?" He smirked.

I flared my nose " see Sean its things like this that makes me wanna hurt you so fucking bad but then again what would your mother do without you? Oh that's right live a life headache free kind of like your dad" I snapped before marching upstairs. " oh hell naw" I heard the sound of oo's before they all came upstairs after me " dad! Wheres my wallet?!" I called out but heard silence " dad-" Sean cut me off " they all went out to eat and left you cause your sleezeball self was knocked out all day it's already 2 in the afternoon " he mocked me, I sighed and went for the kitchen " dont think this squall is over" he followed me " dont say words you dont know the meaning of" I replied.

He scoffed as all the boys took a seat somewhere and Raymond sat on the counter by me " so aussie boy, what's popping" I asked and he laughed " obviously not your aftanoorn with morbey dick" I shrugged " welcome to my life" I giggled as I cut up some onions and mushrooms.

Sean fake gagged " dude stop flirting its gross" he complained looking utterly disgusted. Rolling my eyes, I put some oil in the pan before adding the veggies " nor meat? not even steak?" He asked and I shrugged before adding some spinach leaves " it's in the fridge wrapped up so I can use it" I smiled, mouth watering at the thought.

I turned around to see Sean looking kind of nervous " what's wrong with you?" I asked and he ran his tatted hand through his curly hair " you mean the marinated meat? Kind of red and chopped up? Was spicy?" He described my pre-marinated meat.

I stared at him mouth-agape " you ate my food?" I asked softly kind of hurt it took me 3 hours to make it perfect " well technically everyone but you ate it, my mom made it for breakfast" he replied making my stomach drop.

I bit my lip turning the stove off as my fried veggies were done " it's fine " I bowled it and put it in the fridge before grabbing my keys off the hook by the stove " where are you going?" He asked, I refused to reply. I was upset they watched me make it and still chose to eat it, I wanted it so bad I craved it and they just ate it.

I sniffled before opening the garage " Zari where are you going?" He asked as him and his goons followed me " out to get some energy bars and an energy drink so I can just burn some steam off at the gym" I replied glaring at his fat self. He quirked an eyebrow before asking again " you work out? Are you sure that's where you're going?" I scoffed in return.

Of course he doubts me, hes built what more could he ask for? We had testing tomorrow and I wanted to go ask my best friend to prom with me, so I wanted to look nice for him. I smiled at the thought and bit my lip " dork, are you really hat happy to go to a gym?" He snorted and I rolled my eyes losing the expression " no, mind your business if they're back before I am tell them I said we have problems and they owe me dinner."

Before he could say anything back, I hurried into my blue 2014 mustang and locked the doors. He opened his mouth with a surprised expression as I rolled the windows down " is this beauty yours?" He asked and I nodded " got it for my sweet 16 " I turned the radio on after backing out the driveway.

Arriving at the gym, I sighed. Most girls came here to stay fit or to get fit, I came here when I felt fat/insecure. I stopped for a hot minute though and I'm back because I want a good shape tone up before I put on a waist trainer and the dress I'm gonna wear tomorrow. Speaking of dresses, in 4 hours we are going to our appointment to get her wedding dress and our bridesmaid dresses.

I got out the car and walked toward the building with my gym bag " hey Ron" I waved to my old training buddy " sup Aza how you been?" He asked as we entered the unisex locker room. I smiled shrugging " could be better, you?" He replied with the same thing, I removed my shirt and rummaged through my bag for my gym shorts.

" so you going to prom? Or dont have the balls to ask anyone? It is the girls turn" he nudged my shoulder and I nodded " yeah I'm gonna go with Ash" he smiled " classic prom queen and king Halloween theme" he laughed and I cracked a smile " how about you?" He sighed and shook his head, changing his sweats to his gums shorts.

" isnt it awkward how we can just change in front of each other? I'm looking at it now and this is pretty weird" he laughed and I pondered " mmm- nah I think cause were used to it by now it's nothing plus I've already seen you in boxers and swim trunks just like you've seen me in my bikini before" I pointed out and he nodded his head agreeing. We had swimming together back in 9th grade so it's nothing to us now.

After a quick 2 hours session everyone began to pile out, I wanted to go hit the showers since my hair would lay if I wet it and fluff once dry: I dont gotta worry about it. I entered the unisex locker room grabbing a two towels and my sponge out of my bag " hey" Ron said as he grabbed his stuff " hitting the showers too?" He asked and I nodded as we walked together.

" only unisex bathrooms available "

We read the sign aloud at the same time " we can take turns, or stand back to back" he suggested " we can stand back to back I know you have work after this and I have an appointment so as long as we dont turn around we're fine," I said.

He nodded as we headed back down the hall an around the corner, as we entered the showers I grew extremely nervous. We stood back facing one another stripping of all clothing before stepping inside, I ran the water and let it get warm. It felt so good having it run down my body free of sweat, I let out an accidental quiet moan.

It wasnt quiet enough that Ron didnt hear but its was quiet enough that youd have to be standing close to hear.

Ron cleared his throat as I could hear his water begin running, I grabbed my sponge filling it with soap as I danced it across my body " so" he began talking making me nearly turn around " you and Sean? Is it like you're using your best friend to make him jealous or?" He asked sounding kind of weary, I coughed awkwardly " um no uh hes actually my step brother, our um parents are getting married in December " I replied hearing a soft oh in return.

" are you and Ash-? " I cut him off replying with a quick no, he let out a small sigh at the awkwardness we both shared. It was bad enough we were naked in the same room.... showering together.

Out of nowhere my shower turned off " what the-" I said before trying the ones next to me and down the line " fuck" I whispered and he grunted " what happened?" He asked.

" dont freak but I'm coming over there to shower, all the showers on my side are out" I said shakily after checking the rest of the showers and he cleared his throat nodding as I turned around " okay" he said moving his hands from his hair to cover his gentiles.

I walked over calmly before turning the shower two heads away from his on, I let the water warm up before stepping inside and washing all the soap off. I averted my gaze to the corner of my eye watching as he washed up, he wasnt reacting which made me feel better.

I began washing up more until I reached for my back scrubber realizing it was over there, I covered my breast and turned my back to him " can you uh wash my backside please?" I asked my voice breaking slightly due to the amount of steam.

I didnt hear anything until I felt his sponge come in contact with my upper back after he moved my hair to the side, he sponge glided across my entire back before it stopped on the lower right side.

He stepped closer placing his arms on my waist " Ron?" I asked as his other hand held my stomach " sh someones coming" he said turning his shower head off. Sure enough voices got closer " oh shit! Sorry dude" some guys voice said before they left, Ron let out a sigh of relief while I tried to remain cool.

Ever since I avoided Sean, I've become more cautious around guys. I could become vulnerable anytime and it's that part of me that just wished it was me and Ash or me And Sean.

I pushed my body back to my shower and away from Ron, I leaned up full on my tippy toes, he still had to bend over a bit since he was 6'5, he moved his hand and gripped my hair pulling it slightly before running his hands through my naps.

I still had my back turned to him, feeling insecure enough about my ass being exposed to him more than just bikini wise.

He moved away and to the other side, there I heard the shower waters turn on " it's better now you finish and leave I'll wait under the water" he spoke respectfully as I scrubbed like my life depending on it.

After washing I went back to the locker room and dried off before getting dressed, by the time I was done he'd come out in his towel.

I grabbed my bag before bidding him a small farewell.

I was going to turn in my card after this, ik graduating this year as a Junior despite me being 18 and then I'm applying for a college elsewhere, there was no need for me to keep my gym card. Itd be completely useless since I couldnt just give it to someone else.

We walked out and toward my car " if he says no I'll take you to prom myself but this is a mutual agreement" I smiled and nodded my head "yup, if I dont go to prom it's your fault, my legs feel like their gonna have a seizure I'll never work out again " I cracked making him laugh as he opened the door for me " I'll see you around" he bid me farewell after kissing my cheek. I drove home and parked on the side " oh gee they're back and Sean's here " I rolled my eyes as I exited the car and walking into the house.

As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted by Sean, his goons, dad, Krissy, and Lanna. " Azariah nice of you to return" Dad greeted me smiling " hey pops" I waved making him smile " hi Zari" Kristiana greeted me and I rolled my eyes before going downstairs to change into some actual shoes.

" let's go get the dresses " Lanna said as she grabbed her keys " I still dont see why we have four cars cant yall get a couples car and we have ours?" Sean asked and my dad shook his head " we both have work so that technically wouldn't work out unless you enjoy taking Zari to school everyday" sean gagged " never mind." He replied making it seem like it was a big deal.

We bid our farewells and headed out " I can't wait also I already picked the dress so I'm just picking it up and then you guys are going to pick out your dress" She giggled as we pulled up to the bridal dress store, I sighed and unbuckled myself " so how are you and Sean getting along?" Krissy asked and I shrugged " just like regular siblings I guess only we arent related and I hate his guts" I replied pulling my phone out, Lanna bit her lip " if me and your dad weren't getting together I totally see you and Sean having a love hate relationship" she laughed making me nearly choke " woah gag" I said laughing nervously. If only she wasnt so dense shed probably have thought wed already have something going on.

We stepped out the car and walked into the building " ah Ms. Soon to be how are you today? The dress is ready of course " the man admiring another womans fitting spoke quickly as he greeted us without looking, he turned and motioned for us to follow as she pulled out her wallet. Walking after him we stopped at the rack and he spun it " ah~ here we go Ms. Lanna" he handed her the dress and she handed him the big wad of cash.

" fast and easy, I like it" he said before they kissed each others cheeks, left and right, bidding farewell.

"That was fast mom" Krissy giggled as we walked to the store next door " well we go way back an its easy working this way especially since we have loads to do" she replied. Once in the store I spotted a blue floral dress with a slit on the side " that one" I mumbled and grabbed the dress " theme is dark blue so I guess that's the dress," Lanna said and grabbed a matching one for Kristiana, I looked around and grabbed a short fluffy dress that had a rip' n tear design " perfect for prom" I said as we went to pay.

I payed for my dress and she paid for the bridesmaids dresses " so you're gonna be a hatched doll?" Lanna asked and I nodded " I already have the butcher knife headband and 'bloody' shoes, now I have the dress," I said smiling. If I bedazzled it and added more fake blood its make it look more realistic, this would surely help me win the Prom Queen position.p

We returned home and hurried inside so dad wouldn't see the dress, I took her wedding dress and put it in my closet for safe keeping. I sighed as Lanna shot me a text saying that dad was sleep already and that everyone was heading to bed since it was already 9:45 almost ten, they had to be up early to discuss more about the wedding downtown.

I removed my top and my Jean's to change into my pajama shorts and a sports bra " hey, Zari-" he paused staring at me half naked. He bit his lip and I turned around fully to face him " yes Sean?" I asked in a sweet soft voice making him groan and clench his jaw " fuck- uh " he stuttered over his words. Now or never, I walked closer and placed my hands on his shoulders and kissed him like my life depended on it. He grunted surprised but never the less kissed me back, he lifted me up and entered the room closing/locking the door. I pulled back and kissed his tatted neck " I cant take it" I muttered as he laid me down " me neither" he replied as he attacked my collarbone and my cleavage before kissing me again.

We jumped back from each other as a knock emitted from my door " Ria have you seen Sean?" Lannas voice spoke up from the closed door.
