The next morning at 8am, Megan took a taxi to meet up with Jared as his PA has instructed the day before when they had ended up meeting were she had to signed some documents concerning their marriage.

The money she has asked for as been given to her and she in turn as done an anonymous donation to the hospital concerning her god-daughter so that treatment could be started.

She did an anonymous donation cause she knows that if her friend get to find out  that she was the one who brought the money and what was involved she will refuse.

Betty knew all she has been through all this years both the ones she witnessed herself and the ones she told her.

She got to the five star hotel, walked in and give her name and was directed to the suite where Jared await her.

She was nervous when she knocked and the door was opened .

She was shocked when she got inside and discovered Jared wasn't inside just his PA and he was not alone there was other people there like make-up artists and even clothes and accessories people .

" Good morning miss Megan, this people here will attend to you and when they are done we can head to the court house to meet with Mr Jared", he said hurriedly as her eyes wondered all over the suite.

" I didn't know we were going to carry out all this", she said as she noticed the wedding gown.

She knew they were getting married but she never thought he will ask her to put on a wedding gown and all other stuff.

All she thought was they will go to court, signed and that is all.

She suddenly felt nervous after all this was her wedding albeit in name only she still felt jitters.

" Yes you are", he replied as she made a gesture for the workers to start their jobs which they immediately commence on.

She was dolled up and dressed up before being led to court and all through she felt like a lamb on the chopping block despite looking so enchanting.

After they signed their wedding certificates she officially became his.

She didn't know how to feel about it as they stood outside the court house waiting for the driver to bring the car around.

She knew she has already signed away her freedom and happiness not that there was any to begin with.

But knowing what happened in the past between them she knew this marriage was one of revenge.

" You have One week to put everything you have in order because the photos of our wedding will be sent out", he said to her as they got into the car this was the first conversation he had with her since getting into the marriage sham all morning apart from the "I do" and kisses for the photos they took during the shotgun wedding.

" I... I", she muttered

" You agreed to be at my Beck and call and you don't think I will have an hidden marriage do you?", He asked his faced not betraying any emotions as he twist on the car sit and face her while hers was readable, you could read the fear and pain in them.

" Do you have to do this? Publish our wedding ?", She asked with tears in her eyes.

" Why won't I? Should I keep my marriage hidden? Why would I?", He asked her.

" The world will curse at me and you know it", she said fidgeting as she cried.

" You should have thought of that when you betrayed me", he said to her.

" I didn't cheat on you ", she said her voice lowly filled with tears.

She wondered how a single minute could change a person life and trust could easily be broken.

Her family rejection and his leaving her was what she had have to live with all this years.

"Really?", He scoffed and continue " just do what I asked you that is all, then the address of where you will move to will be communicated to you".

" Okay", she replied as she wrap her hands around herself trying to console herself that she would be fine as she had been all this years without a shoulder to lean on.

After changing her dress and putting on the dress she came in with, she went directly to the hospital to meet up with her friend.

On her way to the hospital, she got a call and she quickly picked when she noticed it was Betty on the line.

" Hey Bee, how is it going?", She asked calmly

" I am so happy Meg , someone paid all of Ella medical bills and she has even be moved to a better ward", she said with happiness dripping over her voice.

" Really? I am so happy", she said feigning surprise. " Who is this donor ", she asked her.

" It is an anonymous donation but I am so happy", Betty told her.

" Thank God, I am on my way to the hospital now, I will see you soon", she said and hanged up.

" Thank God ", she thought after knowing the hospital has already commenced treatment and that Ella will be fine.

"At least what I am doing is for a good course ", she thought.

She knew the marriage won't be an happy one.

Happiness?

when has she ever been happy ever since the incident years ago.

She has lost everything she use to hold dearly in one day.

She wasn't going to lose the two people who truly care about her and mean the world to her on this side.

Their wellbeing and happiness meant the world to her . She knew if anything happens to Ella it will break Betty and she didn't want that.

She knew that if something happens to her Betty will be there for her so she will do the same for her.

True friends are there for each other when they need them the most and what she went through had thought her all that and more.
