Chapter Thirteen

Alison and Hana, had squared off talking in a park near the school.

The afternoon fell and they both went to the agreed upon place.

They sat on a bench in the park.

- Why did you choose this place?

-There is too much movement in the dorms and I wanted a quiet place.

- Tell me, why did you and Luan become so friendly?

-We met near a train station, and we bumped into each other, then we met at school and stayed in the same room.

- mmmm.....I know it's none of my business, but why among all the students did you become friends with Juan, and Liz too?

- Let's just say I made a bet about him, because of his condition and I needed him.

-What kind of bet?

-I'm sorry I can't tell you that.

She got a little nervous, and said.

- Does he know?

-Yes.

-You became friends with Luan, why was he my cousin, right?

-No, I didn't even know you were related, I didn't want to bother you, I'm sorry...

-It's okay, just keep it out of the way.

-Hana, I appreciate you, you.....

-Alison, let's leave it at that. You've already made everything clear to me, don't worry, we're friends, right?

-Yes, I'll keep something similar from happening to Luan.

Alison was totally inexpressive, while they were talking Hana was a little uncomfortable with the conversation and tried to finish the subject.

-Thanks for taking care of Luan, if you and Liz hadn't gone to look for him, he wouldn't be alive.

-Don't worry, I'll keep helping him, but I want to know what he was like before he entered high school.

Hana, seeing the change in conversation, little by little he changed his expression.

-Well, he was quite distant with the other people, almost like he is now, because he did not show progress like all his classmates, so they left him aside in each course where he was, and he managed to pass each year, just because of his theoretical results in school. He said he was a victim of an attack by a rebel group and was left with consequences because of it.

-I understand, but did he ever have any friends?

-I think so, although it was nothing very significant for him.

Alison got up from the bench and tried to say goodbye. She felt that the conversation was no longer important, but Hana bowed her head and said.

-You can't see Luan.

- Why not?

-The school board asked for him to be isolated a few hours ago.

- Is that serious?

-Because of what happened.

Alison turned her back on Hana and with one simple sentence she was gone.

-Goodbye, we'll talk about it another time.

Three days later Luan was released from the hospital and returned to school in the morning hours. He was notified that no one visited him by decision of the board of directors.

The first thing he did was to go to the council room, because he was ordered to do so.

When he got there he met Snaider who was waiting for him.

-Hello, Luan. You look more encouraged.

- Why have you done all this?

-It wasn't me, or the director, it was the external board of directors that the school has. You see the school received a visit from government delegates because of your incident, this was not taken very well by that council.

-External board of directors, what is that, I've never heard it before.

- Basically, they are the owners of the school, they contributed to its creation and they avoid major problems. The government sometimes delays in turning over the necessary resources, despite being a private school, many things are needed which the state is obliged to provide. They are in charge of keeping everything in order and thus avoid possible traumas. -They make separate decisions and must be followed by the principal.

-Okay, but it was an incident, which can happen on any trip, why would the government take such an interest in me?

-I don't know if you haven't felt it, but society has excluded and denigrated all level 1 students as well as the irregulars, in some schools there have been suicides and the government is trying to prevent things like that from happening anymore.

-But that was only an accident.

-The government didn't take it that way, they think it was an act of bullying and maybe Kevin will be investigated. Anyway, the council doesn't like that, so it's likely that someone will try to do something similar with you, they isolated you because they probably wanted to expel you, but they didn't find enough reasons to do so, for now they'll just wait for the results of the lack of testing and you'll be the first one they'll take away for not showing up.

-...…

-Luan, you have the lowest level among the almost 500 people who took the exam to enter the school, you were chosen among all the level 1 because Alison talked to our father to get you accepted, your ce is 72.

The boy was silent for several seconds and said

-The boy was silent for several seconds and said, "I know the council doesn't consider me worthy of being in this school, but I'll be the first one expelled then.

-Yes, they're just waiting for you to take the test, to write a letter and kick you out because you don't measure up.

-If it wasn't for Alison, I would have left by now.

-Luan, you can pass, the test won't be that hard.

-Why did your brother make that bet.

-He did something similar to the party. And because of the damage caused, he probably would have gone to a correction, that was his only option.

-Seriously, did he get that angry?

-He doesn't want to talk about it.

-Okay, bye.

⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

Luan left the council room and went to the dormitories.

While they were walking everyone was watching him, because of what had happened on the walk.

Saul, the representative of the hall called him.

- Luan!

He turned around and waited for him.

-Hello, are you feeling well," Saul asked.

-Yes," he answered.

- Are you still on leave?

-Yes.

-In a week it's the test everyone is training, you missed several days so you have to catch up, well after Alison will explain you better, I say goodbye, I have to go. I have to go. Goodbye.

As Saul walked away, Luan thought, one of the few who looks at me as his partner.

The boy arrived at the bedroom and when he opened the door Alison was sleeping.

He came in and quietly closed the door. She went to her bed and lay down, took off her necklace and started looking at him. Until it began to glow.

Immediately Alison's began to glow too.

What's going on, he wondered.

He approached Alison and observed this phenomenon that he didn't know about, for a few moments until his partner began to wake up and walk away from him.

Alison sat up on the bed and looked at Luan.

- What's wrong with you, you look pretty tired," Luan asked.

-It's nothing important," he said.

-Well, you should get a head start on being away for the last two days.

Luan was silent for several seconds and said.

-Alison, let's talk about what happened in the river. No one can explain how you saved me.

-I understand, you have doubts, but that was luck, I wasn't sure you could open your eyes either. Well, let's not keep talking, try to rest better.

He got out of bed and went to the bathroom, but Luan said a few words to him.

-Thank you Alison, I know it might have been uncomfortable, what you had to do, if I could do something for .....

-Don't worry, I'm the one who owes you. I got you into this.

He went on his way and went into the bathroom.

Luan, meanwhile, proceeded to arrange his clothes to change after Alison left.

Minutes later he came out and the boy went in, but it seemed that he had something left in his bed, he opened the door and the whole room was dark, the moonlight was the only thing that illuminated the place. Alison was lying on her back, distracted by the window.

Luan came out and as he walked he watched his friend, noticing something, he was shirtless and had several scars on his back.

He wanted to get closer to her, but his mind began to plot ideas.

Doubts slowed him down and he returned to the bathroom slowly, while Alison remained motionless.

Upon entering the bathroom again, Luan began to think about many things.

Those marks, are not from weapons, are from something else, is that why he is elusive with everyone?

Thousands of questions came to his mind. Causing him to take a long time to get out of the bathroom.

The next day Luan was still thinking about what had happened yesterday.

She avoided looking into Alison's eyes, but this one spoke to her.

-Luan, after school we will train.

-Okay," he said.

This time neither of them left with the other, each going his own way.

In the classroom one of their teachers was waiting to give them some news.

Everything was waiting for them and finally they were informed.

-The school has decided to give them these last days off from today, and please don't overdo it, the test is very important.

Everyone was free all week and could train at their own pace.

In the midst of this environment Luan still had those thoughts regarding Alison. As everyone was getting ready to leave, he wanted to talk to his friend, but he left quickly before they could talk.

Liz approached him to disturb him.

- Are they ignoring what you did to him?

-Tell me Liz, do you and Alison have a thing?

She smiled at his question and answered

- If you have doubts, why don't you ask Alison.

-You're here, and you can answer me.

-Okay, I'll be honest with you, I used to like Alison, but not anymore, happy?

-Well...before you used to embrace him and get along very well, why did everything change at once?

Liz, she got a little serious, and her hands started shaking.

Luan looked at her and left the conversation, feeling that she didn't want to say anything to him and just kept going around.

She left the living room and went to the cafeteria, but there were many people in line and she preferred to leave, towards the bedroom. When she entered her room she felt some static that slowly disappeared, but there was no one in it, and she lay down on her bed.

He spent the whole afternoon like that until about 6 o'clock, Alison arrived at the bedroom and woke him up.

- Didn't you have lunch?

-No, what time is it?

-It's already 6:00.

- Are they late?

-Change your clothes for training. We'll stop by the cafeteria so you can eat something.

The boy kept looking at his partner with doubt, but he followed his orders.

He changed and they both went through the cafeteria, dressed in gym clothes.

And they left the school at a fairly distant location.

- Why are we here," Luan asked.

-All the coliseums are busy and everyone is training at the school, everywhere," he answered.

They both left the school and took a train to a remote area.

They arrived at a place near a forest with a clear sky, at that time there was no one else.

- You train here, don't you?

-Sometimes, because no one comes here, we better start.

Luan doubted whether he would attack him or not, he already knew that his answer would be the same, so he preferred to wait for him.

Alison, seeing that he didn't attack her, proceeded to do it himself.

With quick movements, she tried to get him to react.

Luan would get into a defensive position and try to intercept every punch his partner threw at him, but he managed to connect two to his chest.

This way they continued for 20 minutes. Until Luan got tired of waiting and began to attack.

It was easy for Alison because she was already used to it, but she noticed a change in Luan, she felt that he was reacting faster, although he was not with all his attacks.

Luan started to attack him, and he couldn't connect any of them. Until one moment to the next, in the middle of his fight against his partner, he stopped and did not respond any more. The albino didn't know it and hit him in the stomach.

I finally connected one, he thought.

He was on the ground.

-I really hit him so hard," Luan wondered.

He went over to his friend.

- Are you all right?

Alison was on the floor, and an electric field began to surround him intermittently.

-Go away, Luan," Alison answered.

He didn't understand what was happening, but he felt something strange around him.

-Something is happening here, I can't leave you.

-I'm responsible for this happening here, I'm an irregular.

Luan doubted what his friend was saying and stood there.

-You'd better go or you'll die," shouted Alison.

Luan, quite scared, had to follow his partner's orders and ran as far as he could.

Meanwhile, Alison tried to get up and calm her power, but apparently it had gotten out of control and there was nothing she could do.

In a matter of seconds a large electric field covered the whole place, and burned the trees that were closest to the boy.

Luan was about a few feet away but the electric field touched him too, and he fell to the ground immediately.

.........

The next day, Luan woke up and next to him was Liz, both of them were in the bed that belonged to their Alison.

She had her head lying close to his chest. He was immediately surprised and looked around.

<

He found himself with only one pair of underwear. And his partner was fully dressed.

He looked at the time on his cell phone, and it was 4 p.m.

I try to wake Liz up, but she seemed to be in a deep sleep.

He went to take a bath and I noticed that his back hair was a little burned.

And he remembered what happened before he lost consciousness.

He got dressed and tried to wake up his Liz again, but this time, the thoughts he had about him came back to his mind.

<

Knock, someone knocked on the door.

Immediately he opened it.

It was Alison, who was standing there watching him.

He knocked on her chest.

-You're all right now," he said.

-Why are you touching me?

Alison closed the door. She went over to Liz's side and started talking.

-Yesterday, something happened that I didn't expect, and you were hurt, Liz and I brought you here.

- So you are an irregular?

-Yes, will you report me?

With a serious attitude Luan answered.

-I won't.

-Okay, uh... Liz is tired, she had to heal you, she was afraid I might hurt you, so she spent all her time with you, and wanted to warm up your body a little.

-Warm up? She....

-Just hugging you, don't think anything else. Better to rest and not save, your body still has electricity, and you could faint.

-What about you? -What about her?

-We are only friends, don't worry, you better rest.
