New Life

The first three years went in a blur, only remembering certain events like birthdays and meeting other people who had the same names as the game and anime of the Pokemon franchise. And just like it was hard to remember the first three years of life, it was getting harder and harder to remember the previous life. The only thing that could be recalled clearly were the Pokemon anime, games, manga and movies. That was also only because of the countless Pokemon items that were around the house and rooms. Like seriously Pokemon themed designs were everywhere, even the food and silverware.

Ash, 'And I finally learned my name is Ash, just like the anime protagonist. Talk about die hard fans!'

That was my thinking a year ago and then, mom had apparently caught a Pokemon to help her care for me and the house. At first I thought it was a babysitter dressed in cosplay but nope, nuh Uh, it was real. It was a real Mr. Mime! Damn!

Ash, 'Ooooooooh boi! What's gonna happen to me! I'm not gonna die I hope. Mewtwo please don't kill me. You were my number 1 favourite back then.'

All things considered, he was a bright one and took good care of the house and of course watched over me. I may or may not have terrified the poor guy by staring at him unblinkingly in the beginning, but can you blame me? He was the first Pokemon I saw literally. First living, breathing, walking, talking, you get the idea Pokemon.

Red, "Ash! Ready for the playdate?"

Ash gurgled, "Raaaa.", 'I still can't pronounce his name right. Ah! I will soon.'

Red chuckled, "You should try calling Aunt Lia mom, you know. She's been pouting for not being your first word."

Ash looked at him with big eyes, 'I have trouble pronouncing one word already and you want me to learn another, have mercy on my vocal chords.', "Raaaa?"

Red, "Aunt Lia! We are going to the ranch."

Delia, "Red, thank you for this. Here I made some sandwiches and drinks."

Red smiled, "No problem Aunty! You and mom deserve an evening just to yourselves to relax."

Delia, "Ash sweetie! Behave for big brother okay!"

Ash gurgled, "Ad!"

Delia, "Oh my! Looks like he'll be able to say your name properly soon."

Ash, 'Okay almost got it.', "Ad", 'Never mind!'

Red hugged Ash, "You almost got it Ash."

Delia, "Go have fun you two!"

Red, "We will, bye Aunt Lia, bye mom! Say bye bye Ash! Say bye bye!"

Ash simply waved his hand saying nonsensical words, 'I still can't pronounce, sigh!'

Delia walked in sitting next to her sister, "You know I'm a little jealous of Red! Ash is able to almost pronounce his name right but he still won't call me mom."

Rose hugged her younger sister, "Do you think, that it's because he thinks or may believe Red is his Dad?"

Delia looked at Rose, "What? What is that supposed to mean?"

Rose, "I mean he's not as clingy to me as he is to you and Red. You two get most of his attention."

Delia looked down, "I never thought of that."

Rose, "You okay?"

Delia gave a sad smile, "I miss him everyday, he was so happy when he heard I was pregnant, but then that accident happened and.... the next thing anyone knew we were attending a funeral."

Rose hugged her, "Oh Lia! Let it out, Lia I got you! Let it out baby sis!"

Delia cried her heart out as her older sister held her crying form. She missed her husband and Ash looked so much like him, it hurt sometimes thinking about how he would never know his father. Meanwhile our two favorite boys were oblivious of what was happening back at home and carried on towards the ranch.

Red pointed at a brown, reddish bird, "Look Ash, that's a Pidgey."

Ash was staring, 'Holy macaroni! That's one fat sparrow. It looks like a big sparrow! Colourful too! Good to know!'

Red then pointed to another place, "That's a Rattata!"

Ash looked at where he was pointing, 'It's actually purple! A giant size rat is purple, damn people who have rat phobia better not come here.'

The giant rat reminded Ash of something called 'Tom and Jerry', where there was this cat owner who always shrieked in fear whenever a small brown mouse was seen on screen. And something about a fairy Godmother changing mice and birds into horses and valets for a party. Ash sweatdropped remembering that and wondered if he'll remember other stuff as well. It would be interesting to compare and see how different things were.

Red, "Here we are Ash!"

Red rung the bell and the two of them heard a "Coming!"

The door opened to reveal a beautiful young teen who greeted them, "Welcome Red! And this cutie must be Ash! Welcome sweetheart!"

Red, "Hello Daisy! Are Blue and Gary in? Or are they still out?"

Daisy, "They are in waiting for you. Here let me take the basket. You go and meet them. Oooh! Your mom's special sandwich and drinks are to die for."

Red walked in to the living room and Ash looked around seeing a handsome guy sitting on the couch.

Red, "Hey Blue!"

Blue looked up and smiled, "Red hey! And this little one must be Ash. Hello cutie!"

Ash blushed and gurgled hiding himself in Red's chest. He had a crush on Blue as a teen girl before she became a fujoshi and joined the shipping boat so screw him. His feelings still exists apparently although he can't remember details. To see the handsome guy in real life and see how good he looked was indescribable.

Blue laughed, "Still shy around people!"

Red gave a smile, "Afraid so!"

Blue, "Gary, say hello!"

The little toddler that Ash hadn't noticed earlier was looking at him with large green eyes. Ash blinked as he looked between Blue and Gary and blinked again waving at them. Gary gurgled and waved at Ash saying a butchered 'Hello', in the process. Red sat Ash down next to Gary earning a squeak and a pout at being separated from him making him chuckle.

Red, "Why don't you play with Gary and get to know each other? I'm sure you'll be best of friends."

Ash tilted his head getting a squeal from Daisy who had come in holding some drinks for them. Ash simply nodded his head before turning to the chibi cute Blue look a like and smiled and gurgled at him speaking in baby speak getting more squeals from the older teen. Gary was excited and babbled half butchered words as well happy to have someone pay attention to him. The older brothers looked away trying to control their own squeals at the cute scene infront of them. Daisy however was a step ahead and took photos of the two together as they baby talked and played together.
