Chapter 7: The field of poppy's

My 16th birthday is today, April made corn- bread , I ran through the poppy field that April grew when I was 12. We spent life together we love each- other. I was still in the war, fighting for lives.

Especially for April I have to provide for her. I make sure I keep her alive and safe.I chattered through the poppy field I felt my uncle was proud I did the right thing he was going to die. April wiped my tears, she knew what I felt, I felt emotions that were ought to make me cry. I got my uniform on I was on my way once more. I came to the battlegrounds that night they died for good. I came to the end of town, later the twighlight of the moon rose for battle, they will die for sure.

I rubbed mud against my cheeks. April was proud of me.
