A trip down the Memory Lane:: Ginny

After Harry left, Ginny took out her cell phone.

Not that it was a necessary gadget, but Hermione insisted her to keep one.

Initially it was a botheration.

But slowly she started liking it.

She swiped through her gallery.

There were so many girls out photoes with Hermione.

But there wasn't a single photo of Missy.

Hermione was really cautious. Wasn't she?

As she rested her head on the pillow, Ginny thought about the day the trio had the ill famous fall out.

Hermione and Ron shouldn't have dated. Ever.

Ginny thought bitterly as she revisited that dreaded memory.

Was Ron wrong?

Perhaps not.

He belonged to a different intellectual group and Mione belonged somewhere else. Bad choice... but what could she and Harry do?

They were just amidst the chaos.

Ginny never wanted to take sides.

But Harry ended up supporting Ron, who was stupid and coarse. He should have broken up rather than cheating on Hermione. But no, Ron was Ron. Forever dumb. He cheated. Got exposed and to cover up he ended up giving a byte to The Daily Prophet about Hermione being sexually inactive, nerdy, dispassionate, bossy, unfit for being in a relationship and what not.

Perhaps every girl in the Wizarding community, other than "Jewel", now Ron's wife, still hates him for the statements he gave.

Harry should have remained neutral , but boys will be boys.

When Hermione was about to vex Ron on the day of their final confrontation, Harry protected the idiot and fought her instead. They were both severely hurt and admitted to St. Mungro's.

But Ginny knew it better.

Hermione went soft on Harry.

But Harry was merciless in the attacks.

Oh, what a fortnight it was.

Nightmare..... total Nightmare.

Ginny was already married and pregnant with Albus.... she didn't know what to do. But Harry was never in critical zone. All the injuries were focused on his limbs. So she knew, Harry was safe.

But Hermione was bruised and battered everywhere. Its a miracle she survived Harry's savage attacks.

Ginny decided to side with the parentless lone girl. Mione was more than a sister, better than a friend and she spared Harry despite being wronged. Ginny knew, letting that magnanimous character go would be her greatest mistake. She didn't dare to side with the idiots.

However, Ginny always had faith in her own marriage and she knew Harry would come around. And she is still thankful for her decision.

The next three and a half years were cursed.

Hermione shunned people and vanished into nowhere with the Time Turner that Ms. McGonagall lend her. ( the same one she used in the 3rd year)

That was when she insisted Ginny to get a cell phone. Ocassionally she would drop a text or two and she even called at times. But she never discussed her whereabouts or what she was up to.

And when she was back, she had 3 degrees in medicines from the best of the Muggle and Wizarding Worlds and she was pregnant and she was sick as hell. And yeah... she was with Narcissa Malfoy.

God knows what happened between Hermione and Draco, but the man was clueless about the child in her womb.

Hermione had never been the same since that fall out.

Perhaps she wouldn't have shared her secret also . But Missy was born at home. Narsicca and Hermione needed more women and thankfully Mrs McGonagall and Tempa had good knowledge about child birth. Despite her own experience with one child birth, at that point, all Ginny could do was to hold Hermione's hand and speak nonsense to ease her pain. Two more house elves got the water and sheets ready while Narscissa herself sat at one corner with a Scandinavian witch, chanting and creating some protective spells that was needed to " keep the mother and child safe".

Ginny asked Hermione many times, but she never came clear about that sickness. But yes, that cursed MUDBLOOD on her hand bleeded profusely during her pregnancy and she often vomited fresh blood.

Narscissa once said, certain death eater families put a blood curse to ensure blood purity. It was that curse acting up. But Ginny didn't really understand how that worked. And Hermione never elaborated. Eventually the topic was burried. But today's letter made her worried.

Hermione chose Draco Malfoy in an open forum despite knowing the consequences of bearing his children. What compelled her to be this desperate? Was Narscissa putting some indirect pressure on her?

Ginny was about to put the phone away when she received an email from HG.

As she opened it, her heart filled with happiness seeing Harry and Missy together. They looked happy.

Ginny said a silent prayer and turned the lights off. It was late and she had a weekday ahead.
