''Mi-chan, morning.'' Hikaru waved at me as I went into the kitchen.
''Morning, Hikaru-kun. Why don't you get ready for school? I thought that granny had already sign you up the same school with me.'' I stroked his messy brown hair.
''Neh, the first day of school was always been the unlucky day for me. So today, I won't be going anywhere.'' He takes a bite of his bread.
''Ou-ouchie!'' He clutches on his ear as I pull it from his back.
''Unlucky my ass! Now, go and change your clothes before I whack your ass up.'' I scolded.
Then I let go of him and grab a piece of bread from the cupboard on top of my kitchen table. Taking out the fruit jam from the fridge, I grab Hikaru's spoon from his plate while he was still busy rubbing his ear.
''Hey!! That's my spoon, you fat ass. I haven't even finished my roasted bean yet and you just take away my spoon?!'' He pouts.
''Fine, I will just help you finish it.''
I casually snatch his plate and scoop up the last few roasted beans into my mouth. Hikaru blue eyes were wide open as his jaw dropped to the floor. He can't believe that I bust into the kitchen and finish his beans without sparing him some.
''How could you?! Noooo my precious beans!!!'' He covered his face as he grunts in frustration.
''Dude, don't be that stingy. I just had the last few beans of yours. Now, since you had already 'finished' your breakfast, go and change into your uniform right away.'' I pointed at the door.
''I. Don't. Want. Hmph!'' He crossed his arm while turning his face away.
''Or you want me to tell this to your father? I am sure that he will bring his gun and chase you to school.'' I smirked.
My uncle (aka his father) was a forest ranger that loves to hunt wild boar. Although he may look and sound scary, deep down he was a gentle person but whenever he knows that his son was misbehaving, he would just scare Hikaru with his gun that traumatized Hikaru childhood a lot. I guess it was maybe my fault since I always like to scare him by telling trashy urban legend about the ordinary gun.
''Tch! Fine, I will go and change now.''
As he stood up and walks towards the door, I could see his hand was shivering in fear when he twists open the doorknob. My tears are rolled down my eyelids after trying so hard not to laugh at him. The bread that I was holding was squeezed so hard that I couldn't spread the jam on top of it.
After I was left all alone, I notice that today's dawning sky seems so beautiful like it always does.
'Mom, Dad, I have finally been able to move on...Now I will try my best to make the decision that I will regret the least. ' I silently look down at the table while letting out a genuine smile.

''Mom, Dad, Mi-chan will be heading to the school with Hikaru-kun. Please watch over us okay?'' I spoke softly as I placed the lily and Iris flower in the small flower pot next to their pictures.
''Hikaru-kun, let's go now or else we are going to be late.'' I called out to him.
''Give me another 5 minutes.''
''Geez...what a princess...'' I murmured as I wear my shoes on the doorstep.
I then head outside and checking out my bicycle. After I make sure everything was functional, I take a peek inside the door and saw Hikaru was wearing a neat uniform that's tucked in. The necktie suits him well since he looks like a smart ass kid but actually he was not.
''Oh wow, look who we got here? A cute wolfie that's trying to hide his fang underneath that handsome looking face.'' I teased.
''Oi, oi.'' His face blushed after I had complimented him.
''Neh, just kidding. You are still as ugly as always. Come and hop on this bicycle. I will make sure that none of us will be late to school today.'' I patted my bicycle proudly.
''How far was the school actually?'' He asked as he looks at the bicycle.
''Not that far, just a few streets away from here.'' I said as I lock up the doors.
I grab my bicycle and push it towards the empty street.
''Quick, we have no time left for chit chat.''
''Fine...'' Hikaru gives in and sit behind me.
''Hold on tight.'' I told him as I began to ride down the street.
The winds that brush across my face feels so cold and comfortable. I felt carefree once again...
''Whao...I never thought that riding a bicycle to school was quite relaxing.'' Hikaru said as he takes a deep breath of the morning breeze.
''Wait, is that police?'' Hikaru pointed towards the streets that are not far from us.
Instantly, I turn into the corner between the alley to avoid the polices. Thankfully, he didn't notice us turning into the alley and we didn't end up getting chased for violating the law.
''Nice one, Hikaru-kun! Now, let's take a short cut towards the school.'' I grinned at him.
As we arrived at the school, I notice that's everyone was staring at my direction which bothers me a lot. The girls soon starting to murmur with each another while some of them began to look excited. I should see this one coming since it was not the first time this type of things happens towards me.
''Hey, Hikaru-kun. Remember to stay cool like you were right now and don't ever—''
''Try to start a fight. I know that.'' He placed his finger on my lips to hush me up while looking into my eyes.
''Now, that's my good cousin. Let's go to the teacher's office'' I push his finger away from me as I smiled at him. I was quite relieved that he finally learned his lessons.

''Then I will be bothering teacher to take care of my younger cousin.'' I bow at Hikaru's new homeroom teacher, Mrs Takagi.
''There's no need to be so polite, Miyu-san. It was my duty after all.'' She smiled at me.
''Now, I want you to be kind to others and try to make some friends if you can. I have a junior that's in the same class you were right now. So I will get going then. Try not to cry whenever I am not around, okay?'' I patted his head.
''Tch. What a pain in the ass....always treating me like a kid...'' Hikaru stuck out his tongue at me.
I let out a tiny smile and I mouthed at him,
'You are always were.'
