The Loathe of the Guy in Black Coat

The sound of the rain hits the roof immediately rang through Thea's ear as she gains consciousness together with vague voices around her. Lying on the tables put up together, with stinging pain in the back, as she found herself uncomfortably lying there. It's already pass eleven in the evening, but everyone in the café is still there all worried to Thea. After gaining consciousness, she roamed her eyes around with her blurry vision only to see Stacy wearing her worried expression sitting beside her, Darwin being as what he, so silent and sitting on the café counter.

"Oh my god Thea, are you okay?"Stacy asked while holding Thea's hand.

"We didn't we notice that earlier that she's not feeling well?" she heard Darwin's voice on the counter, making her and Stacy look at him.

Simon however looks so stressed and talking to a guy who's calmly leaning on the wall opposite to Thea. He's wearing a black coat and brown pants, her vision may be blurry or not, Thea is so sure that she hasn't met this guy before.

"Is she the new staff you're talking about?"Said that guy who's talking to Simon.

Her body still feels heavy that she cannot pull herself to sit or even just to move, all she can do is to just listen and roam her eyes around, Thea's head is still tingling in pain even making her vision more blurry. But what makes Thea grew curious is that the moment that guy spoke, Stacy and Darwin grew nervous and the atmosphere feels so awkward. This time only Simon can even talk straight to that guy.

"Yeah, she is."Simon responded massaging his head maybe out of stress and worry towards Thea.

"I don't want her here, she's weak." That guy bluntly said with deep and serious tone.

"But__" Simon stopped seeing Thea gaining her consciousness and immediately walked towards her.

As if seeing something for the first time, Simon hurriedly grabbed a chair and immediately puts himself to sit beside Thea.

"Oh god, Thea are you okay now? Uhm… Do you need something?Water?"Simon asked various question making all of them stared at him all curious on how he's behaving.

"So you liked her that's why you hired her here?"The guy in black blurted out making Stacy and Darwin have their wide-eyes look. Glancing back and forth to Simon and that guy.

Simon stopped as he heard those words and stood up to and faced him.

"What? You're going to deny it? Simon you're too obvious."

"Let's talk in the office Demetri."

With those words everyone went silent as Demetri silently followed Simon walking towards their office. Seeing Simon that serious all of them went to shiver as if they have seen a very strange thing.

"That's quite rare seeing sir Simon that serious."Stacy said almost in a whisper, but those words were clearly heard by Thea and Darwin.

Hearing those, Thea pushed herself to sit and immediately, Stacy held unto her back to support her.

"Yeah, that's quite strange."Darwin agreed and glanced to Thea as if saying that 'you should go'. After witnessing the flow of events he calmly took his bag and went off the café.

"That guy, he really did leave me."Stacy whispered shaking her head.

"You can actually go Stacy, I'm okay now."Thea smiled at her forcing herself to stand.

"What?"Stacy responded in confusion as she clearly saw Thea still can't manage even to just stand."Are you sure you're okay now?"

"Yeah, besides you also need to go home, I've kept you here in such a long time for my first time."Thea agreed laughing shyly as she walked towards her bag looking for something.

It's getting cold outside the resto cafe when she can even feel the cold breeze inside, it's getting late. She feels like she's been causing too much trouble just in her first day; with these thoughts setting aside her head ache and other uncomfortableness she's feeling Thea pushed herself to make a move.

"Okay then, but please be careful on your way home, I feel like you're just lying to be okay." Stacy said as she prepared herself to go.

"Oh and by the way if you won't be fired and can still duty tomorrow, perhaps you still haven't met that guy before in black coat. He's sir Demetri sir Simon's best friend and business partner. Unlike Sir Simon he just occasionally come here to check on us and he's more strict and composed, a complete opposite to sir Simon, besides sir Simon is always been smiley so it feels so strange seeing him that serious." Putting on her thick coat, she immediately went outside the café letting herself wet in the rain.

Thea was left alone in café fixing herself and getting ready to go, her moves were quite slower as she's still feeling sick. Another thing that made her slower in pace is the words Stacy just left her before going off.

*Yes, it was Demetri that guy's name is Demetri, I heard Simon said it minutes ago. Damn it! Why would I care if I will be surely fired after? I've caused so much trouble. Perhaps I need to go out early in the morning tomorrow to look for a new job.*

After putting on her extra t-shirt and her sweater, all ready to get off the café. Before going out she glanced at the office door, imagining the image of Simon and that guy Demetri arguing.

"Damn it! I messed up; I just wasted Simon's help just for my carelessness I should have just listened to Sara about not getting wet." Thea whispered to herself feeling all down and she stared up the rain drops flowing just outside the café. "As if I have other choice not to run on the rain."

Hiding her hands in the pockets on her sweater, Thea hurriedly walked under the rain towards the waiting shed in where jeepneys gather passengers. While walking the wet sidewalks she can't hide her fear that there might be no other jeepneys that'll pass by, since it's raining and its almost midnight.

"Please…Please…..Ple__" Thea stopped as she some a car engine just behind her. Hearing these, all those head aches were actually forgotten as massive rush of fear went through her.

A fearful thought came to her thinking that since its almost midnight and even raining, there must be no cars around here. As if on cue, rejecting the risk of falling down the ground,Thea immediately run forwards not knowing where to go even if the ground is too wet.

Breathing heavily, Thea kept running forwards as she heard the car engine sound as if its running after her but she stopped when the gray car run past her and stopped just a few steps in front of her. Thea's eyes went wide as the window went down.
