CHAPTER 30

Ten minutes felt like hours for Thea when Dimitri drove her from Simon's place to her school. After telling him about her school the two never spoke which made Thea feel uncomfortable. 

Once Dimitri unlocked the door, Thea jumped out and grabbed her bag with her. "Hey! I'll be here after your class." Dimitri called out.

Thea's eyes widened as she saw some of the students staring at her, she hid herself in her messy hair and nodded in response before she ran off towards the front gate of her school. On her way to her first class, Thea couldn't take her mind off to what Dimitri asked her in the car. 

* "What time will be you off your class?"

" Huh? I-d-I dont know maybe at one in the afternoon?" 

Why is he suddenly asking me? Does he need me to work early?

I planned to have this class early so I can sleep for a few hours! 

Gosh! this man!

To start with I can't even believe he's driving me to school! 

I was thinking that he'd leave me after sending Simon home. He's been very odd ever since yesterday. I can't let my guard off around him. Who knows what lurks in his mind. 

"I'll pick you up." 

What?! How did we get to this? 

"Sir? I can walk from my school to the cafe sir." Oh God! What is happening? Is he playing with me? I'm too messed up to be bothered. I just want to rest now I have to work a double shift__

"Not in the cafe."

"Sir?" What now? 

"I want you to come with me after your class, I need to show you something." 

Show me what?! Now this is getting weird can he just tell me what this is that he want's to show? 

Should I just ask? What if he'll get mad at me for asking?

We're in the middle of a car ride, I can't just jump out if he gets furious, I'll die__

"Do you have another job after your class? I'll pay you double. Hourly." he said looking at me and what's with that look?

Is he really serious? Just like always sir Dimitri always have a straight face even during working under stressing customers at the cafe, maybe because he's a lawyer? And pay me double?! As if I have another job___ the cafe always paid me enough. 

"Sir_i-its not about the pay but I really need to rest after my class so I can work at the cafe at night___" what is he doing? 

Is he calling Stacy? He reached the phone on his side. 

"Sir?" Stacy answered from the phone, she sound nervous. Of course sir Dimitri calling you first it must be serious__

"That girl, Thea. She called that she could not make it to work in her shift." What the heck is he saying?! 

"She said, she's not feeling well? I don't care. Take her place. I'll pay you double__"

"But sir__" he hung up the phone before the Stacy could answer and glanced at me. What is this man doing? Does he think can do anything with money?! 

"All fixed, now you can rest later. How about that." He asked me in his usual serious tone. What is this really, that he wanted to show getting him so persistent. 

"Okay." I'm out of reason plus he might get mad at me. I'll be dead. *

Thea felt restless for thinking of what and where will Dimitri be taking her after her classes. She suddenly felt dizzy and her head feels hot, leaning against the wall, she caught her breath as she took a look at the hallway. Thea hurriedly walked to her room regardless of her physical condition. Once she got to her seat , she slumped and took a quick nap after glancing around the room seeing that her lecture room was almost empty even though her class would start at fifteen minutes. 

*This is because of those guys, one acting strange, one is dead drunk. I started my morning calm. I should've just took my phone after my class.*

"Hey!" Sara whispered close to her ear. 

"Hey..." Thea weakly replied, keeping her head hidden under her arms as she laid it on the desk. 

While fixing her things, Sara observed everyone who's in the same class as them and saw how some of the students are looking at Thea. "You know I heard, that you were dropped off by a fancy car." 

"Hmm." Thea replied. 

"You didn't tell me, you bagged yourself a rich hottie___"

"Heck! NO!" Thea shouted which startled the other students and looked at them once. Immediately Thea smiled awkwardly and waved at them. 

"Then what was it that I heard? Who dropped you off?" 

"It was my boss__"

"Simon?__"

"That takes me back, your brother, sir Simon we found him at the cafe this morning knocked out. He drank so much__"

"What? I didn't know that__" 

"We took him home, with sir Dimitri's help." Thea seriously answered, but stopped after realizing something and looked at Sara suspiciously. "Why weren't you at your house this morning?" 

"OH! I-I was_uh...I was at a boy's house." Sara answered as her face turned red. 

Thea could only look at her in disbelief. *She's ovulating...*

"Well, that's your business. " Thea knocked Sara's deed off as she went back for her nap. 

"If it wasn't my brother who dropped you off...Then its....Dimitri?" Sara guessed which made Thea peek at her.

"Yeah..." 

"Woah!! That guy is heartless, I couldn't believe he had the time to drive you here." Sara mumbled in amazement.

*Should I tell her that he's picking me up too?*

"I remember when Simon told me that during their college days, Dimitri ran over a student in their school but instead of helping he just threw some cash on him and told him to go a hospital, and he just did that because he's in a hurry to eat! JUST BECAUSE HE IS FREAKI'N HUNGRY!" Sara explained in exaggeration which made Thea's head even more hot as her anxiety crawled over her. 

And Sara's stories about Dimitri which he got from Simon went on and on that Thea's thoughts are on the verge of collapse. 

*If he's that terrible what will happen to me? The whole time we're in the same place he always look so angry at me as if like I did something. Is he gonna salvage me later? Oh dear lord! Help me!*

"Miss Bautista I think it's my turn to talk now." their professor calmly interrupted Sara's stories which made the whole class laugh at them. 

The class went on, some are sleeping in the back, some are scrolling through their social media, while some are attentively listening the lecture, but Thea's mind is else where. Her thoughts lurks on the possibilities of happening after Dimitri will pick her up after her classes. 

Meanwhile, Sara couldn't shake off her worries to Thea who looks constipated and couldn't stay still with her hands shaking. But just like always, Sara always stays silent as it might put off Thea but never leaves her side. Sara took notes for both of them during the three lectures that they had. 

*I knew! I'll just run away! I'll tell sir Dimitri at work tonight that I got emergency classes.*
