Orphan

"Crap, I am gonna be late!" Sarah spluttered, bolting down the sidewalk at full speed. She had a coffee in hand, struggling to keep her balance in her long heels. She couldn't believe she went on a lunch break and totally forget she had to head back eventually.

It was now late March, signaled by the emergence of yellow daffodils and flowers. They were blooming from decorated the flower beds outside of apartments. The pale, cloudless blue skies brought some much needed sunshine after a dreary few weeks.

She tried to run faster, which was incredibly hard to do in a pencil skirt while juggling a coffee. Finally she saw the incoming sign which read Howard and Co. It was a narrow and long building built with a layer of glass panels, providing a view into the office rooms on the top floors. It looked like an apartment block that was over sixteen floor.

She was about to push through the double doors of the building when a voice startled her.

"Miss Sarah"
