DANIEL

8:00 am. day of Sarah's flight.

He sat in his country view office. His desk looked over to a transparent glass wall that gave the view of another busy day in the city of Texas. The roads were bustling with traffic. People reaching their offices and schools.

. He sat on his office chair, leaning forward on the desk with his elbows. A stock chart was displayed on the monitor screen in front of him, but his eyes scanned the view outside. His thoughts were jumbled. He was losing investors. People were turning their backs on him. They didn't think of him suitable to be on this post. They were comparing him to his predecessor, his father. They were finding reasons to make him lose his post. What did they really want from him? He didn't understand. Everyone was just pulling his strings currently. He felt disappointed himself. His father really worked hard to build this all up. And he wasn't going to give in this pressure.
