It Worked Quite Well

They all were running from the Orc. Rena was just standing there with a smile as if she wanted the orc to come and prey on her.

"Hey, what are you doing?" He said, trying to convince her to run away. "Run!" He was swiping his hand to signal her to get away from there. But she wasn't even flinching.

The bandits crossed her and went ahead. Arsh was about to stop Julie and take her with him but Julie was too terrified to stop. She could not stop and continued her run. He was looking back and was feeling helpless in this situation.

"Should I let her die?"

He was in a conflict with himself. His mind and heart were saying different things.

"Yeah, she is just a lowly woman. She does not deserve your help."

"What are you talking about? She was the one who tried to help you and gave you a ride."

"Didn't she do it because she wanted to make you a prey for those bandits?"

"Yeah, but..."

"But what? She does not deserve your help. She is the one who caused this. She deserves to die."

"But there must be something which forced her to do it."

"Why do you care? You should save your own life first."

"But if you don't help her. She will definitely die."

He looked back once again and saw that the orc was holding her in its hands. Grrr... That drooling pig was drooling even more now.

"Leave her, Arsh. Run for your life."

"No, Arsh. Help her."

"Your life is not equal to her's."

"Help her, Arsh. She might have a family."

"Why do you care about her family?"

He was getting irritated from the conflict of his heart and mind. He wanted to help but at the same time, he didn't want to.

He held his head and screamed. "Shut The Fuck Up!!"

The orc was holding her and taking her slowly to its mouth. And she was just... smiling? It's drooling mouth got opened like Alibaba's cave and she was about to get devoured.

"Julie, jump!" A voice was heard.

Neigh.

The horse humped as high as she could. While she was in the air, Arsh stood up on her back and jumped. Rena had her eyes closed and was ready to get eaten.

Suddenly, something hit the orc's eye. It was a kick. Arsh directly landed on its eye. "Haha, how does it feel?"

It cried in pain and left Rena from its hand. She was falling.

"Oh, no!" He said, looking at her. The orc moved its hand towards its eyes. But he already dived to catch her. "Tch... I might not reach in time," He thought, while still in the air. But somehow he reached her.

She felt something was not right and opened her eyes. She got shocked to see the guy whom she sold out to bandits was betting his life on the line to save her.

"But why?" She could not believe someone came to save her. She was lonely in this world and had no one whom she could call her dear or loved one.

He caught her and tried to land on his feet. But he lost his balance and fell on the ground, in a way that her elbow hit his balls.

"Aahhhhhaahh..." He started rolling on the ground while holding his jingle balls.

Rena could not understand why this guy helped her. She deceived him badly and still, he saved her life.

He stood up with shaky legs, panting and holding his balls.

"Are you okay?" He said, in a shaky voice.

She did not say anything and was just staring at the ground with watery eyes and a gloomy face.

"I guess the answer is yes."

The orc now groaned loudly. He looked back and saw the creature was steaming in anger and was heading towards them.

"We have to run." He held her hand and started running.

He never went to such a length for any girl. All the girls, all the women he came across, he treated them like some lowly creature. But this time it was different. What he did just now was really out of his character. It was like, his body moved on its own.

But he was not thinking about that right now. They had to save themselves from that giant human-eating pig. He was running and pulling her with him.

"Julie!" He shouted.

The horse came running from behind. But the problem was how to sit while running. He was not a trained stuntman. He had to think of something. He stopped and held Julie's leashes.

"Come on, sit now," He said, looking at Rena. "I will stay here and buy you some time."

She could not believe her ears. This guy was still in the mood to bet his life on the line for her. No one ever did it for her, even once. "But I can't leave you here alone and run away."

He smiled. "Don't worry, I promise I will return to you."

That smile... that damn smile. She almost fell for him. He was a casanova for a reason.

He turned and saw the orc right behind them. "Hurry! Hurry!" He slowly moved towards the giant creature.

She sat on the horse and moved away. She was continuously looking back and praying to God to make him return safely.

The orc almost reached them. He was now standing alone with a tensed smile. Actually, he was trying to smile but was hardly able to.

"I tried to act cool," He thought while sweating. "But it seems it has backfired now."

The orc was glaring right into his eyes. Its saliva was dripping on the ground. Chiss! His heart was booming from inside every time he heard that burning sound.

"Think, Arsh. Think." He was constantly trying to think of something to get out of there safely. He was looking here and there to look for something good enough to handle the situation. But didn't find anything. He had no choice now.

He suddenly started sprinting and slid from between its legs. He stood up and whistled.

"Hey, you fat ass monster," He was sticking his butt out and was tapping on it. "Come and get me." He was teasing the monster to make it furious.

The monster was now furious. It started running towards his way.

"Just as I planned," He smiled and started running away.

The kick that orc received earlier, made it half-blind. He noticed that its speed had decreased after his kick. So he tried to plan something while running. He stopped and crouched again from between its legs.

"This lightweight body is not so bad." He jumped and held it's underwear tightly. He was hanging by underwear.

The orc was searching for him on the ground but did not know that he was hiding near its ass. What if it farts? Anyways, he started climbing up.

It felt something moving on it's back and moved its hand. He somehow jumped on the hand. The hand moved from near its head, he jumped on the head. He now had a perfect chance to attack its other eye.

"Gotcha!" He said and smiled.

He jumped and kicked with all of his strength. His foot sank deep into the eye. It cried in pain. But there was a problem now, his foot was stuck there.

Rooaaarrr!

"Oye, this is bad," He thought, looking at the giant hand approaching him. He was constantly trying to pull out his leg but was unable to.

He somehow pulled it out before getting crushed and jumped. The orc fell on the ground on its back holding its eyes.

Rena was watching all of this from a distance. She was holding her shirt tightly near her chest. She could not leave him and run away.

Arsh returned with a smile. She smiled too after finding out that he was okay.

"Haha, that monster was an easy deal," He said, trying to act cool. "I can kill hundreds of them in one go."

She was not listening. She ran to him and hugged him tightly. Tears were flowing down her cheeks.

He lightly pushed her apart and held her cheeks from both of his hands.

"Didn't I tell you? That I would return to you safely," He said softly, looking deep into her eyes.

She never felt something like this before. It didn't look like that they had just met. It felt like, she had known him for a long time. Her cheeks were red now.

He moved his head towards her. She also closed her eyes. Their lips were about to meet. But he stopped midway. Their lips were just a few millimeters apart. She could even feel his breath.

"Ah, I guess it's too soon for this." He turned and walked away.

She was looking at his back while keeping her hand on her chest. Her heart was pounding rapidly.

"Hah, It Worked Quite Well." He smirked while walking to the horse.
