It took him a long time to heal. Humans were so ridiculously fragile, and I couldn't just lick him better. Not to mention he was a pain in the ass. Always complaining and trying to get out of bed. A few times I had just sat on his chest and refused to let him move. I got scolded for that more than once, but it was better than letting him run around injured in front of a bunch of wolves who didn't trust him.
Still, the wait was agonizing. If we didn't have to wait for a full moon for the ceremony anyway, I probably would have lost my mind waiting for him. When Kibba finally pronounced him healed enough for the ceremony, I was happy enough that it actually seemed to scare some of my Cereus wolves a little. The closer the full moon came, the happier I got, until it started to spread to everybody else.
