Chapter 472

Chapter 472

The two were sitting calmly across from each other. Kim Soo-Woon was puffing smoke while Kyle was waiting for him to speak.

Kim Soo-Woon visited him so he probably has a reason why.

"So, what is your plan this time?"

Kim Soo-Woon asked.

"Plan? I don't think I have a plan."

Kyle shook his head, chuckling. He could never read what would happen in the future since the timeline was already different from what he knew.

The big variable was Mikael becoming a Demon Lord, perhaps Mikael's existence was the biggest variable after all.

In the first place, the veil that covered their planet was broken. It was something that never happened in Kyle's past.

So, Kyle did not have a plan. All he could do was hope and look forward.

"Although I will never join the frontline anymore."

Kyle realized the truth. No, he already realized it long ago. The moment he met the Demon Lord who ended his life. He realized that he was nothing but an ant.

He tried to overcome the truth, but it was not enough. Hardwork and knowledge were not enough.

"Really? That's a surprise. I thought you want to be a God?"

"At first, but I realized that no matter how many times I cheat, I can never escape my destiny. I will die if I enter the Hidden Dungeon. It will take a decade to become a God if I use the normal route, killing monsters and leveling."

"I see..."

Kim Soo-Woon checked the man in front of him. Kyle was calm, and it didn't look like he was lying.

"Are you happy with what you've accomplished?"

"Is this an interview?"

"Yes and no."

"Fine, I don't know. I can never discern what will happen next. But I did not regret it at least."

Kim Soo-Woon nodded and stood up. His curiosity was already satiated.

"Hey, what about you? Are you satisfied?"

Kim Soo-Woon halted and glanced at him.

This whole Awakening, Monster Waves, Dragon Bone Raid, Methuselahs, Hidden Dungeon, and Demon Invasion were a big roller coaster ride.

"All I know is that we both don't know the answer."

Both of them chuckled. They understand each other as if they are a long-lost friend.

'Everything makes sense.'

Kim Soo-Woon vanished and Kyle was alone in the garden.

......

...

...

"So, um... Thank you for visiting me?"

Christian had a confused face as he looked at the people sitting around.

Christian looked healthy, despite not eating these days. He was having a hard time eating but his level kept him from being wasted. Still, it didn't change the fact that his story was already over. Well, he already accepted it.

The trauma that he received would never be erased.

Furthermore, Christian glanced at his younger brother, Christian had a tragic smile. Crying was out of the options since it won't help him.

Colt Rothschild was laying in the hospital bed. He looked healthy, however, his eyes never move. His pupils were just staring ahead. He did not overcome it. The corruption was cured but his mind was broken. Still, Christian was happy to see him alive.

"Here."

"Ah, thanks."

Klien passed a peeled apple to him and Christian just put it on the table next to him.

"Hey, you need to eat."

"No, I'm fine. Besides, I think you need to focus on your wife."

Christian smiled.

Klien turned around and found that Kitsune was glaring at King Shenten.

King Shenten visited to see his friend, Colt Rothschild. He was quiet just like usual, but the sadness could be seen in his eyes.

"... You're still keeping your mouth shut."

Kitsune harrumphed. As a Beastman, she met the King in a few gatherings.

"..."

King Shenten did not answer.

"I heard that you met your Kampi."

The woman spoke again.

"..."

"Yeah, I shouldn't have spoken. You are mute."

She scoffed and approached Klein. Then, she coiled her arms around his neck and hugged him.

"Baby~~"

She was flirting inside the patient's room.

Klien shrugged and stroked her arm.

"So what are you going to do?"

In these trying times, the family was there to protect them.

Christian shook his head. He glanced at Colt who was staring nowhere.

"Maybe I'll try to find a way to cure my brother."

"I will help you."

Klein immediately said.

"Thank you, but I think you should help someone."

There was a more important thing to do.

"You still haven't met your brother, Mikael."

Christian recalled the scene, where Mikael murdered two people. One of them was Rena Scott, Klein's Guildleader.

"Yeah, about that..." Klien rubbed his nose, let's not forget that Kitsune was hugging his head. So it looked comedic in this situation.

"It seems that my brother is busy. He didn't even try to meet me."

"What about you? You can see him if you want."

"No, you don't understand. I know my brother very well, he will talk to me once he is ready."

Klein knew that his brother was having a self-crisis right now. Perhaps even a Demon Lord has something he fears.

'All of us have something we are afraid of.'

He acknowledged it.

Besides, the fact that Mikael didn't want to meet him explained everything.

"I know someone who can help you, maybe he can help Colt too. Oh, now that I remember, hey King Shenten."

Klein turned to the Draconian who was silently watching his friend. Both Shenten and Colt were staring peacefully right now.

"I heard that your Kampi is the Saintess' trusted friend."

Shenten nodded.

"Do you think we can meet her? It's hard to meet her because she's always protected by a bunch of Hunters."

"... I'll try my best."

King Shenten answered.

"Huh? Wait a minute? You can speak!?"

Kitsune was dumbfounded. She could not believe it.

"... My whole life is a lie."

She felt that the world was going to end soon.
