Chapter 24

Saturday eventually arrived. The first visitor I had that morning was Prof. Dog who offered to do my hair and make-up as if he was an expert at it. I politely declined.

"I can make you beeyooteeful, woof." He waved a brush around like a magic wand.

"I can fix myself on my own. Thank you for the offer." I pushed him out of the door.

"Miss Butterfly, do you like Mr. Shark?" He smiled with his tongue hanging at the side of his mouth.

"He's a friend!" I unconsciously raised my voice and closed the door.

I could hear Prof. Dog laughing from the other side.

I decided to pay no mind to him and start preparing myself.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't spend so much time on my appearance. I found it pointless and time-consuming.

When I stepped outside my room, Mr. Shark was there waiting with Prof. Dog. He was in his usual blue suit. It made me slightly relieved that he didn't dress up or anything.
