"Sure," I said. I was also curious about what sort of relationship Kiel and I had before I lost my memory.

Kiel was delighted to hear my answer. He tried to hide his excitement, but it couldn't go unnoticed by my trained eyes.

"Where should I start? Oh! How about that time we tried to prank your uncle?" He laughed. It seemed like a genuine laugh. "We snuck into his bathroom and took his soap bar. Then, we borrowed clear nail polish from one of the kitchen servants and coated the soap with it before planting it back into the bathroom."

I tried to imagine it, but no image formed.

"We watched him from afar as he tried to wash his hands with it. It took him days to notice that there was something wrong with the soap. And he never figured out why!"

I smiled politely.
