Chapter 69

"We're going to watch a play tonight," Kiel said the next day while we were having breakfast with Ms. Cat.

"Why a play suddenly?" Ms. Cat asked. It must have been unusual for Kiel to suggest it.

"The mayor's son is one of the actors. He was very insistent on having us witness his son's acting skills."

"I haven't watched a play in a while."

"Same here. And I assume it has also been a while for Butterfly? This could be a nice opportunity then."

I simply nodded. Not like I had a better activity to suggest.

"It's decided. Let's watch the play then!" Kiel was excited.

That night, we went to the local theatre, a small and modest building that didn't look like it saw many customers. The interior was much better though. The walls were gold, and the seats lavishly decorated. They definitely did not hold back on their spending.

The three of us sat at the second row. While waiting for the play to start, Ms. Cat excused herself to go to the washroom.
