Aurora's POV
Walking through the hospital halls I felt nervous. Scared even.
What would she think of me?
Cmon. She's dying.
Ronin walks with his hand in his pocket and I couldn't help but be amazed at how much he looked like me.
"Well... here we are." He pushes the door open and I freeze.
I can't do this...
I-
"Hey..."Ronin grabs my hand and squeezes it. He offers a small smile and I breathe in and out.
I nod, and step in, wary of the figure that laid before me. She looked so peaceful laying there that I didn't want her to wake up.
Wait.
That sounds terrible.
But you know what I mean?
"Mom?" Ronin shake her slightly and she slurs. Pools of green peek out at me and I bite my lip as she gasps.
"You're... . here." She murmurs and a grateful smile graces her thin lips. Her hair was already losing color, shades of grey becoming apparent. "Oh, Aurora." She croaks and I gulp to keep down the tears.
I stay silent, just staring at her.
