Chapter 4 She's All About The Change

Alana's POV

Who would think that I, 'the victim' would be pummeling people who deserve it?

We all fight for a reason.

And we all fight in our own ways.

It doesn't have to be physical, because we all have those days.

I fought for a long time and there were days when I didn't want to fight anymore.

But here I am, and the tables have turned.

"I'm fighting a girl?!" Righty yells incredulously while beginning to laugh and I tilt my head at him.

Now dressed in my sports bra and short spandex shorts. I held my bandaged hands out in front of me.

Waiting.

"Hey, when I'm done beating your pretty little ass out here maybe you'll let me beat up something else in-"

I swiftly lay a dropkick onto his head and he falls heavily banging his head on the wooden floor.

The crowed "Ooos" on impact, cringing and I don't wait for him to get back up.

I land a swift punch on his back and he completely collapses grunting in pain.

He takes time before he gets up and he looks mad as he charges for me.

"Attack!" Leo yelled.

"What?! No!" I got one look from Chance and it screamed panic.

I angrily land a high kick into his stomach as he approaches and he doesn't see it coming, it was too sudden. He fell backward onto the ground and I sit on top of him.

"Get off him!" I ran towards them trying to pull them up but they were too strong.

"Leo! Tell them to stop." Leo stared at me. "Leo don't you hear me?! Tell them stop!"

He only pulled Ashely closer towards him as she cried harder.

Furious, I pump my fist into his face. Over and over and over again.

"Chance...." I murmur and the tears fall. He wasn't going to make it.

"Alana." He smiles although his eyes couldn't open.

I don't stop as I slide my hand to my opponent's neck and apply pressure.

He eventually slips away with me just holding him.

I stand tears running down my face.

Each passing second my hand gets tighter as sweat beads down my face.

"What is wrong with you?!" I scream at Leo and he gapes. "Why... Why Leo why would you do that?"

"Why didn't you stop them?"

"What are you going to try to commit suicide again? Go jump off a cliff see if any of us cares."

He gripped my hand choking as I applied even more pressure. I shook with fury and I couldn't stop.

"I, Alana Winters reject you, Leo White."

The pack members' eyes widen but I don't move a muscle.

One heartbeat.

Two heartbeats.

Three heartbeats.

Four.

"I accept."

I let out the most animalistic growl unknown to humans and release his neck. He takes a huge gush of air, looking relieved but it doesn't last long as I raise my hand, turning it into a fist and slamming it down onto his face. A loud crack is heard and mostly everyone gasps.

He doesn't move under me, instead, he is completely and utterly knocked out.

Its Sunday afternoon and having just returned from church, my home phone rang and I walk towards it.

"Hello?" I call out.

"Alana." George's voice rings out.

"Hey, George, how's it going?"

"Not so great for you."

"What is it?" I ask a little more urgently.

"Remember the guy you beat up pretty badly yesterday?"

"Yea?" I shrug and he sighs.

"You broke both his jaw and nose in one shot." He explained and I smirked. "He's also suing you."

"Whatever. Tell the little wimp I'll visit him soon with the money. My fists."

"Alana," George warns. "This is serious."

"Relax George, I have money, just swing by with the papers and I'll settle it out.

"Forty thousand dollars?!" I exclaim as I stare at George and he gives me a look that says I told you so.

Don't get me wrong, I have money. I just don't understand why he's asking for so much.

"And you can't take him to court. So you have to pay."

What we're doing is illegal, I'll get arrested . . . but so will he...

"I warned you two years ago Alana, as soon as you got yourself together. What're you still doing here? You have a company to take care of now, why are you still fighting?"

Groaning, I place my head in my arms.

"It makes me feel. . . . better."

It's silent. And I know he understands what I mean. George is one of the only ones I told. Mostly because I was drunk but he knows nevertheless.

"You need to stop doing this to yourself sunflower." He says softly and I sigh.

"Don't come on Saturday. I'm sorry I have to do this but you are officially banned from the IFC."

"What? No!" I exclaim and he sighs getting up.

"It's for your good, if I see you there again I will have my men escort you out." He gets up to leave and I just stare at him incredulously.

"George. . ." I call out in a pleading voice and he shakes his head.

"Goodnight sunflower." He slams the door shut and I just stare at it with my mouth open. I grab the glass I had been drinking and grumpily drop it to the floor. It bursts into tiny pieces and I roll my eyes at the sight.

That's fine.

I don't need him.

I never did.

Okay, are we sure this is Alana? Because woo that girl has changed.

Tell me? How is the story so far?
