Green Blood on a Green Field

"Good morning, Violet." Vezkud greeted me when I walked into the dining room wearing my uniform. This kind of morning isn't really what I have used to have before.

"Good morning." I greeted back and did the same to the others. I sat down on my seat after getting my food and I noticed Neodelle in front of me. He looked like he's thinking about something but I just ignored him and started to eat my food.

"Did you get a good sleep?" Delora asked me.

I only nodded even though I didn't even get to sleep earlier. It's better to lie than to answer any following questions if I didn't sleep that well.

"It's nice to hear that." Delora smiled at me. "Do you want to eat with us later after classes? We're planning to go to the mall."

My spoon stopped mid-air on her offer. I turned to her and tilted my head. "There's a mall here?" I asked. I never knew that.

All of them looked at me. "You didn't know?" Brian asked me and I just shook my head.

"I'm just walking between the dormitories and buildings. I didn't know that there's a mall here." I said. I have no plan to roam around this big school that might take me a week to complete. And by building, I just meant our year-level buildings.

"This school is like a city, to be honest. They have it all here—."

Delora's voice got cut off when a sudden earthquake happened. We all became attentive and I quickly looked behind me when I felt numerous magical energy far away but it was inside the school premises. Those energies are familiar to me.

"High orcs!" Neodelle stood up and exclaimed. The latter also stood up when they finally felt those magical energies.

"Change your clothes! We can't fight with these stupid blazers!" Vantel shouted and went out of the room that was followed by the rest.

"Don't just stand there, Violet!" My head turned to the door where Neodelle was. He was glaring at me. "Change your clothes because we're the ones in charge of killing those monsters! We need to stop them as soon as possible!" He said and left me.

After being still for another few seconds I also went out of the room but instead of changing my clothes, I went straight outside. The caution alarm went on and the siren started to invade everyone's ears.

I saw some students getting down on some buildings and after securing that there were personnel that guide them to the underground where they could stay safe.

It took me a long time to arrive at the walls of Althea in the south. The army of orcs and high orcs looked at me when they felt my presence.

An orc is about 7 feet and their green skin were covered in scars on different parts of their bodies. Their horns and some of their boar-like tusk are snapped. One of the few high orcs that is 10 feet tall looked at me. He growled as he looked at me.

If I was a normal one, I would have already taken a piss on my spot. The high orcs have too many scars compared to the orcs, making themselves at a higher level than them.

"A..." My eyebrows furrowed when the high orcs tried to speak. There are only rare ones that can speak in their likes. "Aravas... Will kill... Aravas..."

I can't help but snort at him. So, he's gonna take revenge on a fallen kingdom for hunting their fellow orcs? And...

Aravas? Did he know that I came from that kingdom?

I felt nine energy running to my direction so I made the decision to snap that high orc into two and his green blood splattered everywhere.

His army looked at their high orcs in surprise with their ugly faces when one of their powerful ones just got dead within a second and turned to me. I felt numerous bloodlust in front of me as they guessed it right that I was the one who killed it.

I tilted my head. "He's noisy so I ended him first." I said and almost all of them growled in anger.

"Violet?!" Lily's eye widened when she saw me facing the numerous armies of orcs and high orcs.

"There are a total of two hundred orcs and a total of 20 high orcs." Aaron said and beside him, Theodore made an axe from his blood.

"I want to use that high orc's blood as my weapon but I think it's disgusting to lick," Theodore said and stared at the high orcs' blood. "I'd rather use Neodelle's."

"I'll kill you first before you could."

I ignored them and looked at the orcs slowly walking their way to us. I scoffed and sarcastically laughed at how fast they arrived here.

Decreasing their numbers was already a difficult task in Aravas' army just to prevent this from happening but since Aravas is now a fallen kingdom, they managed to go this far.

But one thing was creeping into my mind.

I wonder if Herlye tried to calculate the arrival of these orcs here.

Herlye's serious and observing eyes that glows in red like the color of her orbs suddenly came into my mind. No matter how timid and meek she is... Her strategies and calculations are top-notch and even surpassed Jirile's.

...But she'll have her punishment for not even telling me about this.

I lifted my hand and showed my palm to the army of orcs. It seemed like I snapped their tiny patience and started to run towards us. Lily and the latter went to their fighting stance but all the orcs were suddenly pulled backward and gathered in the middle.

My hand slowly formed a fist as the orcs slowly exploded as I added more gravitational pull in their center. Some green blood splattered on my clothes. Even though they exploded far away from me, I still got myself dirty.

"Eww." Theodore said as he kicked one of the orcs eyeballs that flew its way to us from the explosion. "You'll clean this mess, Violet." He said.

"Not my business," I said and the others charged at the remaining orcs.

Wait, don't cleaning up these harmful orcs my job in the first place?

Uh... Nevermind.

Lily stabbed her staff down the ground and lifted herself up and as soon as she got in the air, she used her staff that she immediately pulled from the ground to point at the two high orcs and cast a spell.

"Venenum radices reptants!" Black roots slowly crawled on the high orcs and torns suddenly appeared and pierced their bodies.

Lily spun as she cast another spell for the orcs near her. "Barrier!" Rose stems suddenly rose from the ground clockwise and created a barrier in a circular way. Npw it looked like a huge dome.

"Dispell!" The roses spun in counterclockwise as it threw its torns everywhere killing numerous orcs in one go. The roses went back to the ground and Lily immediately aided Aaron in his fight.

Aaron, wearing a cloak and holding a sharp black boomerang, summoned numerous clones from his shadow below his cloak. After adding more manpower and matching their numbers, he showcased different physical cm.

He excelled in agility and reflexes so it was almost difficult to follow his moves while he was swiftly killing orcs.

"This is making me bored." He mumbled and all of his clones disappeared but a new silhouette came out from his shadow and it slowly expanded on the ground.

I flinched at the sight when a real dragon's silhouette came out from the ground and attacked the orcs. Well, that dragon is indeed on a new level, I can say.

I heard a loud thud not too far away from me and when I turned in that direction, I bent backward to avoid a chopped arm of an orc.

I looked at Virgo, her ears changed and it is similar to an elf's. Her hair became light green and she has a bow and arrow made from her magical energy that emits green and yellow light. Even the color of her eyes changed into light green but what made my lips part in surprise was the gigantic arrow that pierced a high orc into two. It's in the same size as Aaron's dragon!

"Move."

My head turned to my right and I stepped backward when Vantel walked to my direction. He passed by me and liquids suddenly formed above him. It was his poisons and it attacked the remaining orcs.

Delora suddenly appeared when she stepped on the ground after jumping backward and she bumped into Vantel who glared at her. Delora just sheepishly smiled at him and jumped again backward while some crystals were forming from the holes in her work clothes.

The crystals fell but remained mid-air and as Vantel did, the crystals attacked the orcs but when they came in contact with the enemies, they expanded and eventually exploded.

I can't help but think that those crystals were made by her sweat. Well... It came from her skin or it was just like that.

"Vezkud! At 3!" Brian shouted as he smashed numerous orcs in one go with his big axe creating a crack on the floor where the other orcs fell. The crack emits some reddish lights below and I felt an earthquake.

What the heck is that? Hell?

I stepped back when a string passed by me. I examined it as it continuously surrounds the whole place where the orcs are, creating a huge ring that won't allow the orcs to pass us by. I touched it and pulled it but it didn't budge. It was like a thick metal.

I looked at whoever did this and it was Vezkud. The three orcs that were behind him were pierced by his strings that came from the ground as they dangle their dead bodies in the air since Vezkud has no plans of releasing the strings from their bodies.

"They're trying to destroy the barrier." Vezkud said.

"Neodelle!"

The bored Neodelle that was behind me was wearing the work clothes that I had just first seen now. I don't know if he just likes it or he has the right to wear it but he is wearing a royalty's uniform. Typically used by princes and kings.

He stepped forward and knelt before the barrier Vezkud settled and touched the ground. Within a second, I felt the powerful energy that surrounded the barrier inside that made the orcs step backward and gather in the middle.

"What the fuck?! Why did you leave me here alone?!"

Vezkud stopped in his tracks and looked at the barrier that he made with a surprised expression.

The latter went to us as they completed their areas to clean and no one in us realized that Brian was left alone inside with the numerous orcs and one remaining high orc.

"I thought you were already... outside..." Vezkud seemed to be having a system error alone.

Ha... This looks fun?

"You fucker! Get me out of here!" Brian shouted and we felt another earthquake.

I stepped forward and rested my palm on the barrier.

"Brian, go to the edge."

"What?"

"Go to the edge," I repeated. "When I successfully gathered them in the middle, open the ground enough for them to fall or you want to get out of there, bathed in their bloods"

"No fucking way. I'd rather be bathed in mud." He said and I felt his energy going to the edge of the barrier just as I told.

Now, I concentrated and exempted his place before I changed the gravity inside. I felt all of the energy of the enemies being packed in the middle and the next thing that I felt was a big energy overlapping them and the powerful earthquake.

I ceased using my power from concentrating them in the middle of the barrier and with that, I'm sure that was enough for the orcs to fall into Brian's gate-to-hell-like trap.

We received an aftershock from Brian's skill and Vezkud's metal strings faded in the air. We saw Brian not so far from us and he was breathing heavily.

"They were so many. I almost use sixty percent of my energy for that graveyard." The axe from his hand faded and he sat on the ground.

"Sixty percent? If that's so, why are you breathing so heavily?" Virgo arched an eyebrow at him.

"Can I remind you that I haven't been able to use that skill since years ago?" Brian rolled his eyes and stood up. He removed his metal top and revealed his long-sleeved black shirt. "Are we done?"

"We obviously are." I almost flinched when I heard Neodelle beside me. Since when did he get there?

"Thanks to me. Ha-ha."

"Yeah. Even though you're begging us to get you out."

"It's because somebody trapped me inside!"

"It wasn't intended."

"Oh, really?!"

I ignored the bunch and looked everywhere. I approached a high orc who was burned to death and examined him. I put my hand to my chin and questioned myself as I look at the black steam coming out from its body.

'Why did it mention Aravas when it's already fallen?' I asked myself. 'Their lair isn't that close to ours...' An idea popped inside my head and I unconsciously stepped backward. My hands fell on both my sides and I took a deep breath. 'Don't tell me they managed to tell that I'm from Aravas?'
