Lilith staggered at the sight in front of her. Her hands shake at the mere idea that her involvement with Devinna has got into her cousin's ears. Even when it is indeed true, the though of her knowing she was betrayed once again scared the cousin who was guilty of betrayal.
"She didn't suspect me, right?" She asked no one in the empty. The long table and chairs couldn't answer her horror-stricken question. "No… It can't be." She denied it herself, trying to comfort her at the idea that Violet remained unsuspicious of her.
She glanced at the chairs. She thought that those were where the board of Althea sat during the discussion while the chair before her was her cousin's. The cut strand of her hair was enough to give her seat away since she always had it trimmed whenever she gets out of her room or when she has nothing to fiddle with.
